Topic: EC Processing Times in Australia???

Good news.....I had my EC approved on 3 November and passport received on 4 November 2008! I submitted it for processing on the 13 October 2008. So this went a lot faster than I had anticipated. That is done in 15 working days...FINALLY I CAN FLY (after giving my employer the required notice and convincing my parents that going back to London during while the economy is a little unstable is a good thing!!).

Good luck to those still waiting.

Topic: EC times in Australia FOR THOSE WITH AN HSMP APPROVAL LETTER

I submitted my EC (with HSMP letter) by platimum Express post on Monday 13 Oct, received 14 Oct 08.

When I called they said it was now 8 - 9 weeks. So based on this advice I assume I might know about my EC application by about 13 December.

Came home on the 2nd June......may get to leave now around the 2nd jan (may as well stay for xmas and NYE)...a nice full 7 months of waiting! (I am not sure if my sarcasm came across with the word nice....but be assured...plenty of sarcasm sitting around that word!)

Topic: EC Processing Times in Australia???

not sure if I am reading it wrong...but on Appendix 1 it states to complete section 7 and 8 if you are applying with a HSMP approval letter....but it states at the beginning to complete the Perosnal Details form.

What is that? Or is that just the first question on the form...About You?

I would like to apply for Entry Clearance today...so any help would be most appreciated.

Topic: 3 months maintenance requirement - pls help!

can I ask a question...on the bank statements...I have got the bank statements that have been sent home for the 3 month period, but of course that means the most recent statement - received 30 Sept is now not within the 7 days, but then there will never be a time when I can have 3 months bank statements within 7 days (if provided by post which are the only statements with all details as requested).

What are you doing? Are you going to your bank and printing them off and getting them to stamp and sign? Anyone caled up and got any advice on this particular question. I will do it tomorrow, if no one has any advice on it.

It is impossible to have a bank statement covering 3 months (sent) within a 7 day time frame...just doesn't happen...!

Any advice would be most welcome.

p.s I am too watching the aus dollar, on one hand my UK bank account is looking sweet next to the aus dollar, but for the first time I want our dollar to be really strong so that my money looks better against the pound...!

Solid

Well mine went from under consideration to awaiting consideration...to being told that it was with no one... and that the email I got saying under consideration was incorrect and possibly they thought I was a tier 1 applicant...I said Tier one with reference 262...not PB...strange! I should have also said...well I have been waiting for 15 weeks...that would suggest I am HSMP cos Tier 1 applications are done in 4 weeks...so NOT TIER 1. When I called the other Friday I was tole they were still doing applications on the 19th May...while the voiceover said the 28 April, and trackitt suggested June...so I was somewhat confused...but clearly not as confused as some of the poor people at the BIA.

I hope that information comes through and you will find your application approved very soon. I would cross some toes or fingers for you but mine are still crossed for the EC process... but if you are still waiting after I get EC I will devote my crossing of the fingers to your case being approved! haha.

Hope to see you in London!

Yes def forget the meesage on the machine...they say the 28th April or something, then the website states 4th June and mine is done (WOOHOOOOOO!) and I am the 10th June....so be sure that they are doing June... fingers crossed for all those waiting that you find a nice leap forward on the BIA website tonight.

Des

Thanks for your thoughts....I have clearly had just onew of those nights when you see numbers near yours getting approved, wee your job slip in and out of your fingers and wonder is it all worth it. It is, but I am a little frustrated at the moment. Sure it will subside by the time I hit the hady and call it quits for a night.

Thanks again, and good luck :)

Topic: bia has updated their website re: waiting times

I've now tried to find waiting times.,...I can't have they been removed! then I called and they said they are looking at April 08. I said that is bull..they are least up to end of May. they said. no. I said yes. then I decided that was enough crap conversation. if anyone finds out otherwise please let us know. But for now I think they are pulling back so we cannot use info against them! I have now lost the chance to go for my old job back in the UK and am extremley angry - why send a HSM person back without a job. Not looking at my visa means if am HSM then I now might go back as an unempl, oyed HSM rather than employed which is the entire purpose of this prgram to start with.

Sorry, I know this site is not for venting. But I am now...as I have lost my old job....so so angry and think I might write an article on the entire process..to inform others...and just to tell the story generally. If you have a story to tell me...then let me know...I think I wil draft an article on the matter to go to print.
