Topic: EC from Pakistan - HSMP transitional arrangements

Dear Nadeem,

Appreciate your expert comments on both these points..
I am managing two accounts one is salary account being maintained for self (2800 GBP) and another saving account for family maintenance fund(1600*3) . Surely it will be a hassle collecting bank certificates and statements from two different banks and respecting 07 days criteria same time. I Just want to know will it be acceptable to fulfill the Maintenance fund requirement?

How about applying EC for self first and then after stamping visa you apply for family without leaving Pakistan. What problems one might face with this

2 years of EC under old rules but now with tier-1, EC stamping is for 3 years.
What if HSMP holder (old rule applicant) applies EC under tier-1? what would be the validity of his visa.

Topic: bia has updated their website re: waiting times

@solid
well , I didn’t sent any email to WP for status update. I got email direct from my case worker(Allen Hilary) from her official address on 23rd-Sept ( 1100 Hrs) stating that decision has been made and i can arrange courier, HO will keep documents for 14 days then package will be delivered through Royal mail if no courier picks up. since i have already made arrangements for the pickup i informed CW that my courier will pickup docs same day at 1300 Hrs and she replied positively.
one interesting things is WP Customer service Reps do not disclose decision untill documents leave HO premises

I agree witth Kazim, maintenance funds is mendatory for EC application. however BHC also check the validity of supporting documents/points claimed because they have authority to reject any application if they are not convinced with any of supporting document. so its better if you can manage IELTS report.

Kazim, are you arranging some accomodation proof also?, is it really required?

wish you best of luck Kazim,
just to confirm how much amount you are maintaining in PKR as maintenance funds. keeping in view the recent fluctuation what exchange rate you are anticipating at the time of ur EC application.

Topic: Expected time for HSMP

well best time is after 1400 British Time but still waiting time is around 20 minutes, you can also send reminder email and normally they take 3 to 4 days to respond.
