Topic: DV 2009 won but need HELP!
Check this form, and if any of the situations listed applies to you then your chances may be
diminished but you could file this additional Supplement A to Form I-485 which includes a fee I
$1000 (in addition to AOS $1010 and Dept. of State Diversity Visa Fee of $375).

You will have to wait until your Number becomes available and then hope for the Best.
AF33XXX numbers come around June-July which gives you about 4 months. Its worth
trying.
As for CP.......the problem is coming back here in case it is denied so that will be
"rolling the dice"
Good Luck and hope it helps

Topic: Any DV 2008 Lottery Winners get their Green Cards yet?
Relax please.
Im in the same scenario. I applied for AOS (DV2008) in May 28th (Number AF23XXX became current on May 1 ) I did biometrics june-20-08. So far as your application gets approved BEFORE Sept 30 2008 you are fine. Normally after the interview and approval, there's nothing to worry abou. DV cases are treated with priority (I hear) so relax. |
Topic: Received notification DV2009- next steps
That depends on your current status. Check this form, and if none of the
situations applies to you then you are probably better off applying for AOS.

(ie if you are in the US and have not gone out of LEGAL STATUS before)
You will have to wait until your Number becomes available and then send
AOS package to Chicago Lockbox. Fill DSP 123 etc and send to KCC indicating
BCIS if you intend to do AOS. if not when your number becomes available or
close, get a ticket to your country (Good Luck on ticket prices if it
is a trans continental flignt :))
Im in the process of AOS for DV2008 and just did my biometrics. Im a
student and was never out of status. No problems
absolutely so far. |
