It looks like people get the "Card production ordered" notice before the welcoming notice, but I never got it. I will keep you updated.

Topic: Congrats to fiddlerpete!!!!

Thank you LRIndy!
It sure was a rough journey. I still remember the the day I first came to the US in 1996 to pursue my dream. I didn't speak much English, and I had no clue what I was putting myself into. It has been 10 years since the last time I saw my family. What a life I have gone through. It has been years since I started fighting against my conscription. Finally, I can go back home to see my family and go hypersonic on my career!

I want to thank trackitt which gave me so much useful information and some peace in my mind time to time. I really want to thank trackitt again for giving me opportunity to meet an amazing person LRIndy who has been extremely supportive and helpful. Thank you LRIndy. People like you really make a huge difference in the world!

Cheers!

Thank you so much. It wasn't as long of waiting as many others, but it was a very tough journey. Best luck with your case. I hope you will see the end of this journey soon. Have a great new year.

Topic: EB-1A/B/C processing time.

Hi, Polycarp72.
Thank you for your message. I actually wrote something here to start the thread, but I thought that it was kind of stupid, so I try to delete this thread, but it's would not let me... and I had to just put "."
My case is still pending.. Apparently, my NC is clear and everything and ready to go get adjudicated.. I did not get a biometrics appointment, yet. I am actually waiting on the phone to speak with a USCIS customer representative right now. I am trying to get this biometrics done somewhere else than NYC right now because ASC in NYC is terribly busy.
However, I do have an old biometrics record from my previous I485 which was withdrawn in lasy May. An officer said it is valid to use until Feb. 2008. I hoping that they will just use my old record to adjudicate my new i485.

My orginal post here was....
I don't understand why it should take so long for EB1 category to get the green card. Our PD is current, Visa# is available, and there are not that many of us.. I mean.. I understand that it is not nearly comparable to the amount of time those who are in EB-2/3 categories, but USCIS does want to get rid of 400000 backlogs.. I would want all these stacks of files sitting in front of me... you know?? Why don't they just process those applications that are ready to be adjudicated and get them over with???

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too.!

Topic: Waiting for the Finger Prints for 3 months after receiving EAD.

vptracker is right.
I got my receipt notice on Sep. 10, 2007, and I have not received my FP notice yet. Of course, I also opened a SR in October.
Don't expect much from this SR. They will not issue the biometrics appointment as long as your local ASC office doesn't have an available date and time. This is a letter I got from the USCIS last week.:

"Your application was received at the Texas Service Center and is currently pending Service consideration. If you have not been scheduled for a biometrics appointment, you will receive an appointment notice as soon as there is an available date and time at your ASC office. Due to backlogs at some sites it may take more than 60 days for this appointment to be scheduled."

This letter was issued on Nov. 28 and mailed out on Dec. 4. Receiving EAD has nothing to do with them issuing your FP appointment. All you can do is wait. Good luck.

Topic: name check and priority dates

I got a hold of TSC customer representative a few days ago regarding my not-received FP notice due to ASC back log.
And she said that my NC is cleared even before I asked.
