Topic: hello everyone

i've been kind of MIA but that's because i got a new job thanks to being eligible to change employers. my old job was hell because it was really far from home, now i am much happier so i spend much less time on trackitt. also maybe because at my new company they don't block access to Facebook :)

i also wanna wish everyone a happy new year and encourage you all to hang in there - i can tell you from my own example it was worth sucking it up a little because better days do come.

take care,

FP

Topic: infopass: WTF !?

why not have a huge banner on top of the page here warning people not to waste their time with infopass??? instead, every day there are multiple posts about it giving false impression that it is useful or something.

Topic: infopass: WTF !?

i went to an infopass appointment this AM at the washington DC field office on prosperity road in fairfax, VA. it was a total f...ing waste of time and i had to pay $5 for parking. the lady told me: your case is at the TSC and is pending ! WTF - the sky is blue. i asked about the background and name checks and she said they did not discuss that kind of information. i wish they just told me that they couldn't reveal any more info than the regular CIS web site does ahead of time.

i particularly asked whether she can see in the system that i submitted my AC21 because that thing is not a standardized application like the rest and no receipts are issued, hence no way for me to know whether it's been processed or is sitting in some mail room. she did not know what AC21 was. she thought i had to stick with the same employer until the final GC comes through.

she was so lost that she had to call another associate for help but she was not much more helpful either. the other lady said that they have access to very little info because "their systems are very old and the data to their center comes through a DOS program". i didn't know if this was BS or what.

point being: if you are EB and waiting for 485 in the DC area, do not bother coming to INFOPASS - waste of time.

i wish i had slept in instead of getting up for the 8AM useless appointment.

Topic: I-485 RFE asking for I-140 approval notice

shouldn't they have record of the documents they themselves approved ??????????????? i am at a loss ... i would expect they would just pull any correspondence with you out of their system.

Topic: INFOPASS reason for visit

in the infopass registration form, they ask to choose a reason for visit and the options are as follows:

1. Order from Immigration Court - If you were directed to us for processing based on an order from the Immigration Judge. You must bring all documents required in the post order instructions given to you by the court.

2. Case Processing Appointment - If you received a notice to go to your local office for further case processing.

3. EAD inquiry appointment - If your I-765 employment authorization application has been pending for more than 90 days.

4. Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment.

in case that i just want to go in to check on the status of my application, should i just select 4. ?

thanks,

foampile

Topic: OT: anyone ever installed Trac CM tool ?

Seem like those esoteric instructions where only steps 11-16 are explained how to do while 1-10 are assumed familiar by the user. Worst ever ...
