Quick question,So during the landing process will I get a new visa stamped ?
my current temporary visa (based on the medicals validity period) will expire in 1 yr.

Topic: PR - Landing through 1000 islands from US to Toronto.

Hi All,
I am planning to land in canada through the 1000 islands closer to Toronto - Ontario (land route through rental car) and travel back to US on that weekend.
Is it safe to land this way , as I will be giving my friends address for PR card.
I read in some forums that the immigration officers are strict and they are not sending the PR cards and they want us to physically stay and apply for a PR card.

Any advise would be of great help. Pls advise.

Is there any contact number to check if my medical report reached the concerned office in Canada.
Medicals was sent on May-23-2008 and I would like to know the status. (I have file'd from Buffalo NY ).
