Senator is from the State. Search for the ones who are pro immigration. Congressmen only represent you if you are from their district. You just have to research.

My case was within processing time when it was approved. They keep moving the processing times backward (only USCIS can create a negatively process flow) anyway so they don't have to answer SRs. I think processing times are bull! There is no harm approaching your senator if the case is already more than 12 months past application time.

I called Texas almost every week. Mostly the TSC IOs were not helpful but some were. I did not bother with CSRs as they have no clue and only tell you info thats available online. I wrote to my senator in February this year - they got a confirmation from TSC that CC will be applied. I again asked them to get in touch in August and this time TSC said that I am from India! They followed up again to clarify that I am using CC.

I had also applied for EADa and H1B . That might have triggered action on my case.

Try getting in touch with your senator. My senator's office was persistent and I believe that may have gotten my case approved.

Do a trackittt search - you'll find many threads for POJ and Cross chargeability. I'll be happy to answer specific questions.
Good luck!

Primary's country: India
Derivative spouse's country: Bulgaria
I-485 applied on: 07/26/07 (primary and dependent spouse)
Category: EB2, PD Jan 2007
Service Center: TSC
485 Status: Approved on Sep 3rd 2008
Action Taken to enforce CC: Plenty

Try to talk to an IO using POJ method. CSRs don't know anything.

Topic: I-485 Country of Chargeability

You can be charged to Pakistan. Send them your birth certificate and request cross-chargeability. I did that with my husband's country of birth - my GC is approved.
