Topic: 1 Hard LUD followed by 2 Soft LUDs in last 3 days, PD not current what to expect?

what this means is that if u dont receive a response, it means that the rfe was resolved and the application was not denied. This means that the application will be approved but only when the PD has become current.

This is their way of preadjudicating the cases and denying the case if they can, becos of the recession. It is not for approval!!

sad but true... :(

dont have any high hopes for approval!

Topic: concrete info needed

if it is retrogressed, u will not get a gc as they cannot assign a number to u...

when the date is current, they may/may not ask for a evl letter to make sure that u have a job offer the same as before... so if u dont have a job offer at that time, it will be denied

Topic: Multiple soft LUDs

they might also have some news that we are not aware of... i have a feeling the DREAM act might have something to do with it... this way, if it is preapproved, the visas can be issued and they would not be messed up like they were before...

well... i guess we can all hope and dream... :))))))))

Topic: I-140 Status- still pending..Can someone give me some recommendation

by chance, i moved to another project and send in an amendment to my H1-B... since i am already past my 6 years and on my 7th year extension, it caused them to pick up my 140 to validate, and after an RFE, they approved it.
Your case might be lying somewhere and no one is dusting it off...

i also was praying at the same time... (this is not meant as a joke) and I believe that really helped as well..

Topic: recapture bill??

exactly... many of the people who are itching to start a business cant right now becos of their status... having a gc will atleast spur them to do something and help a little...

i know what everyone will say... how will that help since that is barely a drop in this ocean of mess... well if it is just a drop in the ocean, why is there such a big hue and cry about giving it? all these people are already holding jobs.. hence the employment gc... so it can only help... those jobs are not going to any americans as of now...

just my 2 cents!! needed to get that off my chest... just frustrated about this whole process ..

Topic: Bank accounts for high CD rates

actually GMAC bank was the one that i looked up online and they insist that you need to be a legal US resident - which means permanent resident or citizen... to open up an account online..

i looked up the definition of legal US resident....

i looked up the list at bankrate.com which gives the ratings for banks and GMAC has a high rating

Topic: Bank accounts for high CD rates

wondering if anyone knows which banks offer the best rates? the rates are falling and the ones that have high rates need you to be legal US resident which I feel so discriminatory... :((

so u never get good rates... just one more way we are getting screwed by this whole situation

how is that going to help? wont your country of chargeability still be the same so you would still be in the same queue... if you are able to change the category, then it will help!!

i would talk to a lawyer before taking any steps...
if this is an employment based greencard, it could trigger RFEs and potential refusal..
