Topic: January 2009 Visa Bulletin now available on Mumbai consulate's website

They don't move priority dates in first 3 quarters, and in the 4th quarter all of a sudden they will realize that they don't want to waste unused numbers and make all categories current. Very disappointing !!!

Topic: I-485 RFE for both primary and spouse

Since you both got RFE's, I would assume it could be one of the below.

1. Open your 485 Application forms and see if you have missed something. There are some places, where you have to specify NONE and any other response such as NA or 0 are not accepted (eg., Part3, Section 3)

2. Open your G325 forms and see if you have specified NONE for former spouse block.

Topic: The last name of a married woman

How was the Marriage Certificate issued? Does it has both before and after marriage name? If the answer is NO, then talk to USCIS immediately and ask them to correct it.

In our case, on the Marriage Certificate, Registrar clearly wrote my wife's before and after marriage name. We used her maiden name so far on everything and we received an RFE last month saying why we have used her maiden name? Since, the MC clearly says her name is changed, officer clearly mentioned that we have to use her CURRENT LEGAL NAME only. Before filing 485, our stupid lawyer screwed up saying we can use her maiden name and it does not matter.

Topic: Traveling while AP pending

My AP is valid till 27th October and applied for renewal. Can I travel on old AP and comeback after 27th october if some one sends (by post) me the new approved AP?

Don't do it!!! What if your renewal does not get approved? You have to come back to US before your current AP expires or postpone your travel until your renewal is approved.

Topic: I'm seriously depressed...

You are not keeping up your username... An awesome guy will accept whatever challenge he faces and does not get depressed for one simple GC. GC is just one simple facet of life and you should not carried over with it.. You have done your part.. so just relax my friend.. divert your thinking man... goto a movie or goto a national park... just give yourself some life man.

Topic: Processing Time

It looks like they don't want to process anymore... they are tired, exhausted and need a break badly.. they might have taken a mass vacation to Hawaii or Caribbean...
