Yes, Venkram, if you go outside United States (not necessarily India) for these two months you will be eligible to apply a year extension even if labor is not processed. Just make sure that you are planning to leave United States before you complete 2190 days (6 years) of total US stay.

Yes, you can use the same priority date, it is upto your employer to keep the process going.
