Did you get any email from USCIS when you get an RFE?
---No. I didn't subscribe to get an e-mail from USCIS. I just go to their website.

Did your lawyer received RFE by post? Or Did you receive RFE by post?
---I'm yet expecting to receive my RFE.

When you received RFE, what message is displayed in your case portfolio on the USCIS website?
---"Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent"

I will post the reason for RFE, when it comes. I'm maybe just little bit anxious about evrything.

Thanks guys

Topic: RFE on I-485

Hi guys,

I was hopping to be approved around this time but instead I've got a RFE. What do you think they could possibly need? How long is the waiting period for RFE to be received?

I also have one small:) problem. I'm worried if it is EVL since I'm no longer with my employer that sponsored my GC. I was let go a month ago. What do you think I should do about this?

Topic: New Vaccination Requirements

Hi to all,

There is a new vaccination requirements that took effect on July 1, 2008. Here is the link:

http://www.uscis.gov/files/article/Vacine%20Req_Ajust_Stat_LPR_20080724.pdf

That is all fine, but one paragraph is really what draw my attention:

"The requirements for these new vaccines went into effect on July 1, 2008, however CDC approved a 30-day grace period for any medical exam conducted before August 1, 2008. At that time the new vaccinations, if appropriate, must be administered in order for USCIS to approve the applicant for adjustment of status."

It looks to me that they want to say that after August 31. or September 1. USCIS will require additional vaccinations proof (age appropriate). And that would mean many of us might need to go again to see the doctor and loose time with paperwork?

What do you guys think, is this interpretation right?

Thanks,

Topic: 485 approval

No one in the world doesn't know for sure what will happen next or in the future.
Not even the great people on this forum.

However, there is a super-high probability you'll get approved very soon.
Very soon in immigration language is again "probably" around few weeks.

You shouldn't worry much about this; from what you have described, everything is jolly.
BTW, please put your information into the tracker, it will help others and you can also receive more accurate answer.

Regards,

Topic: Seems like the application split is favoring the Aug 15 filers

From what IO can tell from the screen is was the "application pulled out for procesing" or is it "assigned to officer".

My naive beleif is that first expression means that the application pulled out to the "assigning room" where they keep them and where officers have an access to in order to get their cases. (I do not beleive officers have an access to the general "big" storage as they probably do not need it).
So the guy pulls application from the general storage and record it to the computer - flagging your case as ''pulled out for processing". That means that case is marked as approvable and IOs will tell you that as a good news.

Then, when IO picks up cases they are marked in the system as not any more in the "assigning room" but with the officer (there must be a officer number listed too - who took the file).
So the friendly IO will tell you even better news - "Your case is with officer now!"

How long will take the officer to process all the applications he/she brought to his/her office and does he/she is taking days off or doing something else, that is unknown to me.
Some people reported after they have been told their case is assigned to officer they waited even another month or even more.
Why they wouldn't take cases just for few days?
Even vacation of sick leave should be dealtin a different way.

So, anyway, that is how I see it.
In this process there is no explanation why one date would be favored compared to any other.

Does the application split favors August 15?
For me the answer is still No, but it will change once USCIS approves my case; and the only reason for that is that my application was filed on Aug. 15 : )

Topic: What USCIS does everyday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it is a joke, it is a BAD one.
But no, they meant this for real.

There is a marketing "expert", "specialist" or who knows what else who is sitting all day long ih his office doing nothing and came up with this idea so he/she can have something to do.

What a joke!

Why they do not conduct a customer satisfaction survey and provide us with the results?
That would give them an idea....
