you or any of ur relative will be having a doctor friend...make sure you get the letter typed on doc/hospital letter pad.
also...write a seperate letter stating your reason for leaving and why you should be there(i was asked this since my grand mother was expired)..not sure that you willbe asked for it...

also..get your tickets blocked and show them...

i feel very sad that you have to wait for 2 days..doing nothing..

My friend
don't waste time...get infopass appointment...if you cannot get the appointment at the earliest date...get a Fax from india which proves that your father was dead(letter from hospital is best) and rush to any nearby USCIS field office and explain them about the situation...I went to Detroit field office 3 weeks back..they are very helpfull...you will get an emergency AP on the sameday.

Topic: EAD or H1B

Hello All,
My H1B was expired recently(Not used my 6 years) and i was using my EAD.Now i got the offer from my client to come permanant and they are willing to sponser my H1B.

1)can i have my expired H1B transfered to my new company or do they need to apply for new H1B for me.
2)Is it better to move to new company on EAD or ask them to apply for new H1B which one is good option.

please advice me ...Thanks for all your support.

Topic: EAD & H1B

Me and my wife has got 2 year extended EAD.I started using my EAD with same employer. My wife was on H1B(Not Working).
Could anybody tell me the risk posed to my pending 485 bcz of my being on H1B without working. How to convert her status from H1B to EAD without starting a Job.
