Topic: Got approved. Good luck all

On 10/15 online status changed to "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident" for me and my wife.

Was rather fast (8 months) and painless (some troubles at the beginning and a simple RFE at the end).
My profile is up to date and includes a history of events in chronological order.

I was kind of active in trackitt at the beginning of the journey but later I lost a little bit of interest on the discussions (after 2-3 months I started to get a feeling that there was nothing new anymore).

I tried a few times to make some sense of the numbers available through trackitt and through official government sites. Well it is not an easy task still I tried and it was fun. It gave me some peace of mind sometimes and some other time it scared the hell out of me.

I know I made some silly entries here and there but I also like to believe I made some useful contributions.

I wish you all good luck.

Topic: 40 hours a week

You can consider getting affidavit ready from your work collegues from India if your company does not exist any more.
That should remove any worry in case of RFE.

Topic: I-485 approved party starts right now, the 6 years of wait paid off :)

For the people without kids that still need some trackitt/uscis free evenings please contact me.
I have severa kids of 3 different nationalities and I cen lend my kids at a rate of 10 dollars per hours (each kid) if this is theurapeutic to keep you away from your trackitt addiction.
Kid must come back home in pristine conditions.

Cheers

Topic: LUD on Sunday for I-140 RFE

Got exactly the same on my I-485.
Is it good sign?
Is it bad sign?

I just opened a good bottle or red and that is what I care about.

Topic: CRIS is out of order

same here.
yesterday RFE sent but no e-mail just visible in the online status.
No I have to try and patiently wait for RFE.
Is it possible to know the RFE reason by phone?
Did anyone succeeded?

Topic: No regular EB1B I140 denied

ginetto:
How did you came to know about this link?

http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-ext-templating/uscis...

Thanks

Once kids are in bed I start using my laptop.
Search and search. Learn and learn. Read and read.
Honestly I do not remember how I got to this link but I could give you the same answer about many other links I posted here in trackitt.
I care about possible failures and nothing else.
If success I do not care about how long it takes I am patient and I love my job/employer.
This link helped me understanding that I had a strong case and that I should not worry too much (just a matter of time).
As a consequence I am now back to enjoy the pleasure of cooking wonderfull meals for my family instead of being on trackitt every 10 minutes.
I hope this answer satisfy you even if I know it is not very precise.

Cheers

Topic: Veterinarian GC?

if you believe you are an outstanding veterinarian you might try on EB1.
At that point it is not the job that matter but the qualifications of the individual applying.

If you show for example that you were taking good care of Lassie than I am pretty sure you can apply for EB1A.

Topic: Date of Birth on Green card

I am afraid you have to start it all over.
1. move out of the country
2. try to get a temporary visa
3. find a job willing to sponsor you
4. get labor certification
5. apply for I-140
6. apply I-485
7. hope they approve everything with the right name

if 7 fails go back to step 1

Topic: how many of us really need gc

my view (2 cents call it the way you want).

none of us need green card.

We are good enough to apply for the US permanent residency so we are good enough anywhere in this planet.
US are very competitive. I love it. If I was not good enough I would be long gone.

If you ARE GOOD ENOUGH to go through this you can get a good job in europe or anywhere else.

With this in mind why did I apply ? (I am European BTW).

Because this is the country I now call HOME.

My kids are happy. I am happy. My wife is happy.
My family is a American family.
This is where we belong.

My wife is from a different country w.r.t. where I come from. She is not american either.
This is where we met and this is where we started to build something together.
It is the place where we want to be.

I get a new job offer every six month and so does my wife. Money could better in Europe right now and we could move there but United states of America is where we met and it is where we bought our first home. First daycare for the kids. First Walmart LOL.

we simply like it here.

It is NO NEED it is just a good place to be unless you are so close minded that you want the tradictions of your home country and all those kind of things you are used to.

If you want those give it all up and go back
This is not a place to look at your past BUT it is the place to look for your FUTURE.

Cheers

Topic: Enduring is Green!!!!!!!!!

Enduring,
I would suggest the following way to celebrate:
a gastronomic vacation of about 1 week in the north-east of Italy (Friuli).
You should plan it in november (middle of the huntig season).
stay around the collio region:
http://www.turismofvg.it/saporifvg/proposte/pro...
http://www.mtvfriulivg.it/index.php?pag=itin&l=...
rent a car and get your wife to drive you from restaurant to restaurant.
You can get the best mother nature gave us with the elaboration of Austrian desserts and the natual armony of italian cooking.

Ciao
