Topic: I140/AP/I485 Approved/GC with the attorny while out of country?

Why not getting I-551 stamp in passport in Germany instead of H1B stamp. Update us when you are back to US. And how did you manage it?

Your funds are safe no matter what happens to your bank. Federal Goverment will back the funds up if necessary.

FDIC insurance limits:

* Single Accounts (owned by one person): $100,000 per owner
* Joint Accounts (two or more persons): $100,000 per co-owner (…means $200,000 in total is insured by FDIC)
* IRAs and certain other retirement accounts: $250,000 per owner
* Revocable trust accounts: Each owner is insured up to $100,000 for the interests of each beneficiary.

See some good information about FDIC insured money:

Topic: current employer wants to do i-9 using EAD next to a valid H1-B

ask her -why H1b copy (as per list C) and driver license (as per list B) is not sufficient?

EAD is part of List A. And there is 'OR' condition between (LIST A) and (LIST B + List C)

See below quote from I-9 form (section 2, page 3)
----
Examine one document from List A OR examine one document from List B and one from List C, as listed on the reverse of this form, and record the title, number and expiration date, if any, of the document(s).
---

Overall, I am not sure how H1B become invalidate?

Also, I-9 form is for your employer only. s/he don't file/report it to any govt agency. (see this quote from form I-9 page 2 - "This form is not filed with USCIS or any government agency. The Form I-9 must be retained by the employer and made available for inspection by U.S. Government officials as specified in the Privacy Act Notice below.")

MTR filing fee is $585 per person. For more details, I would ask the lawyer.
