Topic: how to get the approval notice of the I140 from my lawyer

Hello greendream,

I'm having the same problem.
They do no want you to have a copy of the I-140 approval notice, probably because they are afraid you will leave the company.
I'm leaving my company this week. I'll use AC21 and also they new employer will file a H-1B transfer for me. I'll get a 40% raise and leaving my current job after almost two decades with them It's time to move on :-) - my story is similar to AdrianMutu (look for his posts). Except that he had copies of everything.
I have a meeting with the new employer's attorney today, and will ask how we can move on, without the I-140 copy, and the labor cert. copy as well.
I'll post again, when I get more details.

Topic: Need advice - Changing jobs with I-140 approved and I-485 pending

Hello folks,

I had my I-140 approved on 06/30/08 and am waiting for my I-485 approval.
I'm EB3-ROW, and expect to be current in October. I have my EAD, and should
receive my renewed EAD in the next month or so.

I am working the idea of changing jobs. I am going through an interview process
at this moment and will probably have a job offer soon. It will be way better
than my current job. I have some top-notch certifications and have some good
chances to find something better.

I would like to hear back from people that went through the same situation.
If you can share things like:
1- is there a risk of my current employer withdraw my I-485 process?
I heard that, since my 485 has been pending more than 180 days, the cannot do that.

2- do I need to do anything? things like: notify USCIS, work with a new attorney

Please reply with your serious advices and comments.

Topic: Case with an officer - question

Hello all,

I'm EB3, ROW, Aug/07 filer.
My I-140 was approved yesterday.
Today I decided to call the Nebraska center. Got a friendly rep. on the line.
She looked at my I-485 and told me that my case is already with an officer.
I asked her if I already had a visa assigned to my case.
She asked me to hold and was going to talk to the officer (I guess...)
She came back and said that I'll have to wait until October, but to check
frequently the status on the web site.

My question for the forum members:
Do you guys know, based on others experience, if a case is with an officer,
it goes quickly?
Any other thoughts about this case are welcome. (I know it will all be assumptions)

Thanks in advance,

golf52

Hi TroySJ,

I'm one of their clients, and I got my I-140 approved today.
Now, the wait for the GC (hopefully in October, when I become current again).

Take care,
