Topic: Can we work in Canada using PR but keeping the H1B through consultating firm?

Miyabhai.

I think its quite possible if its CORP-CORP.
I do agree H1B is for the company but if company has got a project for its client in canada, why not its possible?
The client in canada has to pay for the supply from other country.

Its like this we in H1B sometimes go and work in india as H1B for certain period of time. lets say 6 months.
so why not the same applicable to canada?

Thats my question.

anybody knows answer here?

Topic: Can we work in Canada using PR but keeping the H1B through consultating firm?

Hi guys,

I have an interesting question just came up.
one of my friend got his canadian PR and he works for consulting firm here in US under H1B. his 140 is cleared and 485 pending. he wants to keep his H1B till he gets his green card as his priority date will take him 3 yrs to get it.

can he work in canada for another consulting firm on CORP-CORP basis maintaining his H1B for the employer here in US?
will it be possible

please give ur ideas

Topic: NOW 54 YEARS WHAT THE SCOPE IN STORE IN CANADA

Hi IndianMUnda,

Let me be very straight to your point.

Unemployment rate in canada is 5.3% whiereas US is currently at 6.1%

I dont know what statistics you are refering to.

Have you tried looking for job in canada?

your point doesnt hold water if you are just making some statement based on some forums

by the way, CANADA is debt free unlike US. US has abt 10 trilion in debt whereas canada as 1.2 trillion in surplous.
also CANADA is very rich in oil and energy. If you have qualification in those areas, its easy to find a job. It has also got strong health care industry.

so before you make a statement like not getting a job, you try yourself.

by the way, I am not having PR or support PR. I am almost 31 and I am waiting for GC only.

Topic: NOW 54 YEARS WHAT THE SCOPE IN STORE IN CANADA

sir.

I am half your age and I cannot give you any suggestions because you have seen it all in life.

Quality of Life in canada is far better than India. definitely your daughter will cherish the life there in canada.
your daughters will also have opportunity to migrate to US or work in US in future if they are settlng for more than 3 yrs so that they get citizenship.

Its never late but again that being said, you have to make a choice.

Good luck

they all deserve to live including the man himself.

what can I say....

Topic: Got a question on SOFT LUD on my I-485 today

Thanks greenteatoall.

My Priority date is around feb 2007.

Do you think they will touch my case as my country of chargeability is India.
how it works?
currently my case is in nebraska with the current processing time for 485 shows july 08 2007. mine was sept 27 2007.
so you meant to say that they will process in two months time and approve my case.?
how it works?

will they first approve my I-485 and then wait for my priority date to come before they can allot a visa number and GC?

please enlighten me.

Topic: Got a question on SOFT LUD on my I-485 today

Hi,

I have a question. I got my I-140 approved on 18th august. My lawyer received the approval notice but I didnt see the status change at that time.

Today I see the Soft LUD on both I-140 and I-485 with Status change in I-140 shows case has been approved and mailed.

I was surprised that it took more than 1 month to see the status change. Did anyone faced similar situation? also I had soft LUD on my I-485. What does it mean?

Do they update my I-485 that my I-140 approved?

Please give me your answers

Thanks
