You are not out of status but you cant work. It is not a good thing. You should harrass USCIS if you think there may be a gap. They might expedite ur EAD renewal. Dont sit on this. Make sure you get your renewal before the current one expires! |

Thanks God. Status changed to CPO today Oct 31, 2008. I am really happy. Thank you all and hope you get your GC soon. I replied to a RFE on Oct 15, 2008.
Congrats.. Quick Q) I am only shwoing approval notice sent? No CPO as yet.. Is it the same thing? How long before you get GC in mail? |

Hi, A few many of my co-workers from NY area got I 140 denied because the "not very educated" IO did not think MBBS (Bach of Medicine and Surgery) is a valid doctorate degree?? Anyone facing this?
What is the solution to this stupidity? (Hiring educated IO not an option)... |

easygoing, I was just thinking that... there are so many threads saying "rejected" as opposed to "approved".
It may be a tactic to buy more time.. or MTR- making more money. All these I 140 delays also gets the 340 $ for EAD renewals...
But scary to read all these rejections. |

Thanks for your update. You have been lucky to me. Just after your message, i just checked my bank account and saw my check also encashed on oct 3 2008. same here online status say received date oct 2 instead of sep4.
I think we should not wait for 90 days... It will be too late. We should try to contact the Ombudsman Office a month before expiration... We need to get the renewal BEFORE EAD axpires not AFTER.
Where u planning on doing anything? |
