unfortunately I don't know either. My online status is not updated and still shows pending. so I didn't receive any email.
next week I am going to infopass with my lawyer, hope we can find out more.

Hi, all
My I-485 has been approved for 2 months but haven't received the card yet. I received a letter saying that the TSC is waiting for my biometrics to be loaded up in the system. I just called them and they said all I need is waiting (another 3 months as stated in the letter). but my fingerprinting was done in last November.
Have you heard similar story?

Dear all:
I just knew my I485 was approved. it is lots of mixed feelings when this moment really arrive. only after joining trackitt, I knew there are lots of sisters and brothers who have been waiting as long as me too and that gave me courage to keep waiting all the time. I wanted to file WOM from July and then the lawyer said I better wait until my received date is within processing date. later the process time even went backward, so I haven't talked to that lawyer again.
TSC is not updating online status. My husband filed 2 I485. first as my dependent, second as primary. we received a denial notice for his second one. it mentioned the first one was approved so second one was denied. then we called customer service and confirmed both our I485 were approved on the same day 10/23. but online status is still pending.
I believe they are processing all the stale cases. consider the huge amount applications since last July, just be patient more. you will have it.
This is a special place where we come from different countries and know nothing about each other but we supported each other because we have one common goal.

I just called customer service and the IO immediately found out the SR filed earlier, so if you didn't get response after SR was opened for 60 days, you need call them back.
Infopass don't see anything about the SR for my case. Newark, NJ. | | | |

I don't think infopass will give you the status on a SR from my experience. they know nothing but namecheck status and my case is in TSC.
since the SR was opened via customer service, it is better to call them back to check. of course we can't trust just one call, try again. | | | |

before filing law suite, should we ask the lawyer to help on the case first?
that's what I tried. My lawyer said I better wait until my received date is one month beyond current processing date. so I shall contact him later. but I am not sure if a lawyer is capable of doing anything.
Has anyone ever tried this way besides writing letters?

my name check is pending >180 days. my case is under "additional review". I know there is the new policy that I485 can be approved without namecheck cleared if name check pending >180 days.
I just want to verify if the new policy really start to work.

Hello, all
Regarding the "additional review", I did go to infopass. as expected, I got nothing but name check pending.
the IO from Infopass in Newark really know nothing. she kept telling me my case is in TSC and I need write to TSC.
Besides writing to congressman and first lady, what can we do if your case is ready for appoval but it is not?
I plan to find a laywer to help on this. Will this work? Has anyone had experience on this?

at least I can save a trip for infopass appointment. otherwise I will be disappointed one more time.
if I search my name from google, it only show up 30 entries which are from papers. when I was studying master in China, I helped other students in lab, as appreciation and being nice, they added my name to their papers. ironically, now I wish they never did that. I wish my name doesn't show up anywhere.
when you talk to customer service, how do you know they are contract customer service people or IO?
I will write to congressman. I knew that. but when it is your own turn, you just can't think of anything to do.

My I485 was submitted on 6/29/07 but got receipt notice in Oct. An IO opened a service request on 5/18 for outside of time processing. I just received the reply. Does this look familar to you? what can be the additional review? I have been in the same company over my life.
The status of this service request is:
Based on your request we researched the status of this case. We are actively processing this case. However, we have to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please call customer service at the number provided below.

The true answer actually depends on the IO you will talk to.
SUGGESTION: call the customer service to check the status. leave the rest to the IO. the IO will create a service request for you or do nothing. no need to argue if he does nothing but call AGAIN. | | | |

My I485 was received on 6/29, but the receipt notice date is Oct.3. so I called myself early July filers.
