Topic: good news and bad new for me
Hello guys. Will keep you all updated what happens so my situation can be case study. Thanks a lot. Anyways what has to happen will happen. I guess tonight at least I will enjoy and get drunk. After all I did get the magic e-mail. BTW all three apps had LUD on 7/16.
Also to one of the poster above, I dont want to delve into details here but my wifes dad got in critical condition from illness. Thats why she went. Obviously, I knew she didnt have AP but to us at least that was (is) more imprtant than anything else In average applications do take less day for approval. But thats in average only when dealing with USCIS. Everyone knows that.
One more thing I didnt add I guess which I should have. Apologise but have so many things running through my head. She had also applied for H1 in april. At that time my PD wasnt current. She got H1 approval and my date became current so we also applied for EAD. We were initially thinking she would work with EAD only since its so flexible but I guess she can get H1 stamped also and come back? |

Yes I am also consulting one. But thought would still put out my info in case anyone has come across such a case. |

Yes she does have H4 stamped in passport. But I thoght if my h1 is invalid her h4 would also get invalidated. Thats teh cause for worry. BTW she also has B visitor visa but I guess coming on that would be illegal since she has applied for GC and has immigrant intent. |

Topic: General Q regarding Backlog
I have been curious about this sometime now. Going through this report which gives the stats of LPRs in 2007. From Table 2 it lists the total emplyoment and family based apps adjudicated in 2007. From the percentage does it mean that employment based account for only 15% of all total LPRs. So if pending apps with USCIS are 800,000 would employment based be approx 15% of those?
Thanks
Amar

Topic: Help on Filing 485
Hello All,
I wanted your advice. I filed for my 485. Then hit retro. Got married. Now got current in June VB. Want to apply wifes 485. Initially lawyer said he would do everything in one fees. Now he says he will charge 1000 dollars more since he is filing for wifes separately. I was wondering whether to do it myself. Is it advisable? Has anyone done it succesfully? If so what do you put on top of your application so that USCIS knows I am filing for derivative and my PD is current and so they wont reject the docs? Thanks.
