Topic: H1B Extension Error

A coworker had a similar situation. Take an info pass appointment. During the info pass appointment ask them which form you should submit.Since it is a USCIS error you can request expedite processing.

Topic: Visiting Maui, HI on an expired visa

We also travelled on expired H1b visa stamping to Hawaii. We carried our passports. The airports only check driver's ID so we did not have any problem.

You need to first respond to RFE.
In my case, we responded to RFE, 5 months have passed, no response . Service request was filed last month. Now we are filing premium.

Topic: H-1B extension for May 2008

I have a similar situation. California service center received by petition on March 19. RFE issued in June. Replied to RFE on June 23. No news. Service request done on 9/27. Now my university is going to file for premium processing.

Topic: Anyone yet awating the visa approval (Sep 2008)?

Please can you tell me where can you find the 240 day rule?

My H1b is pending since March 19th, H1b expired on May 9th 2008, response to RFE sent on June 23, service request filed on Sept 28. I am asking my University to do premium processing.

Topic: Any News on the H1B applications filed on Apr 01 2008

My H1b visa expired on May 10th, 2008. My 7th H1B (based on 1 yr pending I-140, that was approved in June 2008) extension was submitted in March 2008. Responded to RFE in June 2008. No updates after July 2. I am still maintaining my H1b (not using EAD, waiting for adjustment of status). Service center California.

How long one can stay beyond the expiration of H1b? Can one request for premium processing at this stage?

I want to continue on H1b as I am now eligible for 3 yr extensions at a time because of approved I-140.
Any inputs will be appreciated.

Topic: NIW, self-petition: Which service center is more strict and gives more RFE?

I would be happy to help you with the third prong as I had to prove this in my RFE for EB-2 NIW. You can email me at sdutt@stanford.edu .
