Congratulations Hajigc!

See, USCIS sometimes make exceptions and give GCs to Iranians too ;-)
Welcome to the club! And check with Ninja about that Jacket! He still haven't given one to me!

Yes I am surprised. Recently 4 Iranians got their GC. I guess an Iranian agent has got into USCIS :=)
I think Ninja is wearing all the jackets himself on top of each other :=)

Thanks everyone for all those kind words. I have a feeling that June Visa Bulletin will move ahead a lot for all groups specially for EB3 Indians. Like 2 years.
Another interesting thing is that I had an infopass last Friday. The officer even did not punch my file number to check. She said your file is in TSC and I can not see anything. My infopass took 7 seconds !!.

Eventually I got it !!!. I know some people predicted that I will get it soon. It seems that TSC is looking for 2004 files. Thanks everyone for your support. I hope everyone will get his GC soon. Even one year of waiting is too much. Mine took over 5 years. Actually started at 2001. I am more concered about poor Indian EB3s and also people from countries like Iran whose applications are mostly delayed. Here is the email that I got:

Topic: Sympathize with Immigration Officers

Folks!!

I think that we must give our thanks to the immigration officials. They have to look through Tons of Documents each day, not to forget the language translations from different countries. I can only imagine how tiring it must be on their eyes and their minds. And if they issue a RFE we get upset and start yelling at them. I think it not fair. They are humans after all and most of the AOs have families and personal problems to deal with, yet they approve MOST of the applications, so we must be considerate.

They never asked us to apply for GC, so why blame them if we apply and then they request some documents from us to adjudicate? I think this is the normal immigration process in any country.

Now you may argue that other countries have simpler and comprehensive immigration process, but we must not forget that USA has the most number of immigrant applications than most of the countries put together.

I just wanted to vent thats all, I have been reading a lot of bad stuff written about AOs, I just think it is not fair. Thats all. Nothing personal.

Dear friend.
Some notes in your message does not make sense. You mentioned documents with language translation. Either you know a language or you don't know. You don't try to learn a language by looking at a document with strange langauge. By the way, they usually look at the translated document.
You also mentioned they never asked us to apply for GC. True but they accepted this job and they are paid by GC applicants. It is true for all other jobs. A doctor did not ask a patient to get sick but buys his mansion by sick people !!!
Anyway you are from ICELand. If I were an immigration officer, I would issue your GC in a second. You don't need to worry.
