How about MS EB2/EB3 folks faked their resume and pretend to be 6 yrs experienced to get their first job? Should they be categorised as genuine?

My wife's H4 got issued today. But mine still shows Admin processing. We submitted the docs together.Anyone had the same experience? Dropbox suppose to ease the stamping process. But this is more complex and uncertain than the regular process.

Topic: Timeline for passport receipt for dropbox

They say 3 to 7 business days and depends on case to case basis. So basically no time line. It seems the Dropbox is a bad choice. Too much uncertainty :( Now I think I have to change my return date which is too expensive. ....

No I am not a typical Indian but if that makes you feel happy then good for you; accepting the way things are is not what I am advocating but my need to get GC took a back seat way back. I think you are trying to cry foul when there is none and blaming USCIS for everything thats going on wrong with your GC process (as I said I have being there done it so you do not have a monopoly with that attitude). Everyone knows that per country quota is there for a reason, everyone knows that countries like India/China will clog the system no matter what, everyone knows EB3 to EB2 porting is legitimate, everyone knows EB1C rules are more relaxed than EB1 A/B but is legitimate. So by asking USCIS to work outside the defined laws is simply stupid. Yes USCIS has a lot of areas to improve in but the things you are complaining about isnt in that list as far as I am concerned as they serve the selfish desires of EB2I whiners only. Some of the things USCIS can improve on and the entire immigration community will be thankful for is listed below:

a) Allow EAD extensions via walk-ins; b) allow H1B extensions via walk-ins; c) give EAD/AP for 5 years with increased fee
The above list is not complete but certainly getting rid of per country quota is not in that list. Let me repeat this again I do not want USA to be like India/China and hence the per country quota is needed.

Looking at your lists of TODOs for USCIS, it seems you have the EAD in your hand and just worried about the extension :-)

I understand this and yes its kind of frustrating when you have a date in front of you but cannot file based on that date. Mine PD is May 20 2009 and I have been dreaming about to get into the line this FY to at least file 485. Earlier my hopes were high after reading many post from other people saying USCIS will surely accept based on filing dates this FY but now I have no signs where I can see its happening. God knows when we go into May 2009 application acceptance.

You should be able to apply for I485 by the end of this year (Dec 2016).

I still do not understand, why is it so important to apply for I485. You still have years until you get your GC. so what is the added advantage that you get by filing I485 and having it pending for years.

Additionally, I side with USCIS on this matter. It is better that they do not accept applications. They have a lot of pending inventory and people with Jun 2009 and beyond PDs had filed way back in 2012. Those people deserve to get GC before you. Hence they should not be accepting your application and the later you apply the lesser are the chances to get approved in that year.

Having said that USCIS will move the filing dates and accept your application by the end of this year (Dec 2016).

You are kidding right by asking this question "I still do not understand, why is it so important to apply for I485."???

Even a porting on h1 without the need of doing a PERM is a huge relief.

Topic: GC through consultants

I am planning to move from my company. I do have the pd of august 2010 to retain. Fed up with the current employer. Thinking of moving to a desi consultant and start the GC process right away as big companies might need 1 yr minimum to start the process. How about the PERM and 140 nowadays through desi consultants? Any audits?
