Topic: EB3 India - Post RFEs for future priority dates

Much awaited email has finally found my inbox after 12 years!! :-) I have just now received the approval email for me and for my dependent family.

PD - Nov 30 2004, Received RFE late in Sept 2015 after opening the SR, RFER Oct 2015, NO SR or RFE this year.

Congratulations to all those who have received their approval this month and past. For those who are current and still waiting I'm sure you will also receive your approval very soon. Good thing is that dates have not retrogressed for Oct. For rest of the EB3 folks, I hope and pray that your wait time will end soon on a positive note. Good luck!

One of my kids status changed to "On September 2, 2016, we updated your name for your Form I-485" when I checked the status online. What does this mean? Have they opened the file?. (Can I be hopeful of getting approval today ? :-) )
No update on my and other two dependent status.

Topic: EB3I movement in FY2016 - Prediction & RFE

Even if the date moves into 2005, what are the chances that it will stay in 2005 or have further movements from Oct 2016 VB?
Retrogression back to 2004 will be the worst nightmare!

When does AILA meet CO? Every month? Quarter? Is there a chance of new prediction from CO for upcoming month?

Topic: Anyone tried reaching Indian Consulate in Chicago over ph/em?

Did you check this page?
http://indianconsulate.com/page/display/16/11

Check the point No 7 (almost at the middle of the page)
And almost at the bottom, 2 email ids have been mentioned. Have you tried them already?

It's really frustrating irrespective of having all the tracking numbers, these people cannot even find the status of application. I'm sorry that you had to go through it and hope this sorts out soon.

The bulletin has following prediction -
VISA AVAILABILITY IN THE COMING MONTHS: Indications are that there will be “otherwise” unused numbers available under the Worldwide limit. This should allow the September date to reach early 2005.

So can we atleast expect August VB to go to end of 2004?
What happens even after the dates are finally current, you don't get GC and medicals expire? Are they going to issue RFE again?

Have you tried checking this page?

Please note that If the question is related to PIO/OCI, if you send the query through the consulate website, you get the answer from CKGS and not from Consulate. But they do reply.

Thanks Suva, for explaining it well. I hope and pray your prediction come true.
One positive thing about this VB is EB3I dates moved greater than a week and CO did not mention anything about corrective actions or any other standard blah blah blah prediction with specific to EB3I. Now will EB3C retrogression eat away some part of SO?

Topic: EB3I movement in FY2016 - Prediction & RFE

*** --- This date is expected to advance slowly during the last three months of the fiscal year, at a pace consistent with that of the India Employment-based Third preference date. -------***

Isn't that last statement kind of confusing??

Though CO did not say EB3I is going to move slowly, but he has said EB2I date is expected to advance slowly and the movement will at a pace consistent with EB3I.
Eb3I is currently moving 3 weeks at a time. So, EB2I is expected to move 3 weeks per VB.
But what about EB3I? Does this statement indirectly say EB3I is also going to move 3 weeks per VB?

I am not sure if I am reading too much between the lines. But this statement surely has made me uneasy :-(

Here is 1 sentence said about EB3I:

"EB-3 India will creep forward from August 8, 2004 in April to September 1, 2004 in May. EB-3 demand, after the initial allocation of numbers, has been increasing by 100 month over month from January to February and February to March."

I do not understand how can EB3I demand can be increasing? EB3I demand till July 07 is well known. At best, it will only thin out by porting. Where is this 100 extra coming from?

May be because of the applications from dependents? I for one applied for dependents during last September. I believe there are many people who have done so. But that number should already be captured by last inventory report. Its hard to believe if people with PD 2004 are still applying I-485.

May be a stupid question :-). But what are the chances of DOS moving dates into 2005 in upcoming May VB for EB3 I and USCIS rejecting it (just like they did for Filing dates for EB2I)

June 2016 VB might also give some clue. I just hope they do a gradual movement from June rather than waiting until August and September. Reason is now we only think about of dates becoming current and it really feels good to be current after like a decade of waiting. But if you don't get the RFE within the time, all the excitement dies down soon enough.

With optimistic SO predictions, do you guys think that the EB3-I dates will move to End of Dec 04 by Aug 16 VB? I just hope those of us who have already replied to RFE during/after Sept 15 don't have to go through medicals again!

if EB3I date moves to lets say Dec, 2004 in next VB, what should be the action item for those of us who have PD beyond Sep, 2004 and already replied to RFE? Do we need to create SR or something? Or it is just further wait hoping that our files will be picked up?

Thanks for letting me know. My dependents had finger printing almost a month after you. So I guess we may have to wait until end of this month.

Good luck for your dependent's GC. Hope the dates move faster at least in 2016 :-)
