Topic: Previous Earning for applications from UK(WP to Tier 1)

I am looking at Work Permit to Tier 1 switching.

I have the following query about previous earning:
I am in UK from 9th June, 2007 to till date and planning to apply for Tier 1 in the month of August, 2008. In UK, we get our Indian salary as normal + daily allowance (per diem). Can I just show my Indian salary for the previous earning to claim point? Which Band would i be considered (i.e D or A). I have this query since i have been in UK for more than 12 months. Few of my colleague having same case had earlier applied under HSMP scheme and got approval but i am the first to apply under Tier 1, so just wanted to know if it could create some problem in my case. I have also read of few cases of denial due to they being considered in Band A instead of D.

Any alternatives?

Your help is very much appreciated.

Topic: Funds in Wife account

Hello ravi,

You need to have 2800 GBP in your account and 1600 GBP for each depandant. You could maintain 1600 GBP in your wife's account and show that as evidence for the depandant. But your account should necessarily have 2800 GBP if applying from India.

You could better transfer the required funds from your wife's account to your and maintain that for 3 months. Better be safe than sorry.
