Topic: 401(K) Contribution?

yes,it still worth it,you get taxed after 401K deductions,so it saves you money,as long as you have decent options in 401k.
look for Vangaurd funds or funds with low experience ratio funds.

There is no secret amnesty or anything, the lines of thinking for buying an house atleast in dallas area is house prices are trending up and it may last another 2/3 years, prices are going up crazily ,so who knows if in 2/3 years its gains good value,it will be worth it.the reason at least for me was to buy house in dallas since i studied here and all my friends settled here.It may be emotional but its a calculated Move,Just look at dallas/plano/frisco House price increases for last 3 months or look in city-data forums with people enquiringly about to dallas.

Topic: Buying house in current climate

Just signed my contract for house, its in Texas, lets see what goes.
I visited atleast 15 -20 builders in the last 2 months all new builders and what is common is every house you go there are indians either writing contract or touring the property.
Even builders figured to have bigger lot premium on all north facing lots due to fact we prefer them.
