May it prevent me from getting a citizenship since I am commited to work for my employer after receiveing my GC?

PS - I really appreciate my emplyer, we are in good terms and if it doesn't hurt me in the future I don't mind the 1099.

I think because it is "cheaper" for them....

Does it matter as far as immigration looks at it when applying for a citizenship?

Hi,

I received my GC - finally (and thank you all for the support) and am starting to work for my sponsoring employer which rather pay me through a 1099 vs w2 - is it okay as far as immigration looks at it - I am going to work for my sponsor but a 1099 is an independent contractor vs W2 which is a employee employer relationship, I just don't want to have trouble when trying to get my passport.

Appreciate your help!

I don't know who remembers and who cares - we got it, it was approved.... both me and my husband got a nice email from CRIS today that our welcoming letter....

A few days ago a spoke to an IO which said our case is def NOT with an IO and it will take at least six months - i decided to stay an optimist and it was a good decision... we got the approval email!!!!

LOVE YOU ALL - thank you for the support - I'll let you know when the actual GC is delivered....

BY The Way - I am still pending NC!!!!!

Topic: At least six more months.....

I am just going to hope that we will all get GC soon and everyday can be the day....

I will keep on hopeing and won't forget that these IO's have millions of people to deal with everyday and that most of the time they prob just make believe they are checking our case while thay are really just saying their line of the day as my fellow brit said...

I am going to keep a positive and optimistic mind and no IO can break me.... :)
