Topic: dependent approved primary pending

Same case with me, my approval came 1 week after my dependent's approval. But ours were pretty fast, because both applications were received 10/17, my husband was approved 10/22. mine was approved 10/29. That when i learned that we cannot really tell what's happening inside USCIS...others are waiting for more than 90 days and others can get their approval in a records' time.

Topic: 8th Year H1 Extension Denied, EAD Valid, what should I do next ... Please help

I'm sorry to hear that but i believed as long as you have a valid EAD, you can continue working, all you have to do is to update your I-9 form.

Would you mind sharing the reason for the denial? I was just wondering why was it denied when we'ev been working for the same company for 7 years. I'm planning to file for my7th year extension (my I-140 was approved) but i've been reading that USCIS is being strict with H1 extension because of the economy problems.

If you can share the reason, that will be a great help.

Topic: How much Fee for EAD Renewal

If you filed your I-485 last year based on the new fee structure, then you don't need to pay for EAD/AP renewal. But if you filed your I-485 passed July because of the June 2008 fiasco and paid all filing fees based on the old fees, then you have to pay renewal fee of $340 (EAD) and $305 (AP).

Topic: Dependent's EAD Approved 6 Days After Notice Date

Hello, i just want to inform you guys that my husband's EAD was approved 6 days after notice date but mine is still pending...i'm hoping to have my approval soon too since my EAD expires on 11/22/08. So, we can't really tell how USCIS is processing our applications, some took only a week others are already counting months.

Positive vibes to all of us.
