Hi

Are you also looking for a job in the UK post getting visa?
I hear the job market is not good at all.. are you applying thru consultants or are you searching directly?
I spoke to one consultant and he said, right now is not a good time to come...

Any information shared will be helpful..

EC is taking around 30 days these days.
So you should call up the BHC/ VFS arounf 25th and check on status.

Topic: Anyone with HSMP Approval Letter applying for Tier1 after 1st April

Dear Amit

Its best to provide all your documents.
Excess is never a bad thing.

Infact when I re-applied the 2nd time, I provided my earlier rejection letter as well just to clarify that the reason why I was refused has enough document support this time.

so best to provide everything. Have u checked the rules on the vfs site? Their documentation requirements can be a bit more. Also do take photocopies (2 sets) of all your documents.

Topic: JUNE & JULY EC Status

Dear Satheesh

Can you share the details of how you applied for the date change on the visa? Even I have been given a visa which is not post dated when I will only travel in Jan..

Topic: JUNE & JULY EC Status

Got my EC!!

HSMP approval recd: 6 July
EC Applied: 7 Aug
Integra: 18 Aug (2 times they did verification) - asked HR for Employee Code, Date of Joining and Current Salary
Passport ready : 1 Sep
Centre: Delhi

Problem is that I had asked for a post dated visa (from Jan), they have given it from September.. How can I get the date changed? I believe some of you also faced the same problem..

You cannot apply for HSMP anymore, you will have to apply for PBS Tier 1. (HSMP was discontinued from April 2008)

firstly congrats on getting visa satheesh.. but its sad to hear they have not taken into account the post dated request..
was it just an oversight or do they generally not give it post dated?
