Topic: How much did you guys lose in the recent stock market turmoil

what can i do rvinay?
if you lose, you lose.

atleast i thank god I learned the hardway.
There are two types of learning.
1) Learning through other people's experiance
2) Learning by experiancing it.

I burned my fingers by taking the 2nd option. Its very expensive. I will never ever get into the stock market again. I lost all my 4 years of savings in about last 2-3 months.
Now I dont have any money. Good thing is I dont have any debt. atleast I am looking at half glass full.

Topic: financial crisis, should we take realistics actions

ead seeker,

how can u even think abt cutting immigration.

They dont do that. Thats income for them. without immigration, they dont get money. you know how much money they generate through immigration. For example, look at USCIS. how much they charge for 1 application.

No chance of reducing the immigrants will happen. yes, of course reducing the illegal will happen because they are not paying tax. there also selfish nature of americans. There is no humanity in this country. They are reluctant to even pass HR5882 because they want money and doesnt want anyone to say here permananetly.

legal immigration is a huge source of income for this country. cutting the legal immigration results in cutting their income. so even in recession, they will encourage more people to come here and invest money.

Its time people like eadseeker and eb1 desi talk sense. It seems these guys are immersed so much in unproductive threads, they lost sense of inteligence. look at a guy like eB1. he did Phd and ended up doing nonsense threads in this forum

I think he is trying to get PHd through trakitt. I guess by posting most number of nonsense threads (about 2053 right now. wow....)

Topic: Barack Obama's views on immigration

i agree

obama is very intelligent than mccain when it comes to tackling immigration questions.

Let me be straight here.

He wants to eradicate H1B program and bring more strigent rules to bring best and talented people here.
He is also very intelliegent that california has got the maximu latino votes but was run by a republican arnold swazengar.
in order to win this race, he need latino's votes. There are only two states that dictates the results. TEXAS and CALIFORNIA. They got the highest number of seats in them. TEXAS is always for republicans because all the wealthy people live there.
so its going to be tough for him to win in Texas but california, he has good chance. He supports immigrant visas increase and latino guest program.

so obama is playin the game very intelligently. This election is going to be very close.

Topic: Selfish nature of CORPORATE AMERICA

hi guys,

i saw everyone's view point.

The point I am trying to make it is this

American jobs are replaced by indians and chinese. This is true to some extent
there are certain jobs that can be done by americans but were replaced by indians. so my point is its very less.
i would say probably about 10-15% of those jobs that can be done by an america
but overall about 80% require immigrants

Topic: Selfish nature of CORPORATE AMERICA

America we all knew once upon a time a land friendly to immigrants. Its the first country to allow immigrants in 1950s and 60's. thats why its growth is so fast its super power even now but lately because of terrorism and there is a feeling among americans that immigrants are taking away the jobs.

Their game plan is simple. They will allow people to come in l1, h1 and all other visa but will never give them GC.

in that way, we can be slavery to them for long period of time.

Time to object this

they dont do nothing for legal immigrant. they went ahead to even compromise on illegal immigration bills such as E-verify inorder to block HR5882.

so pretty dissapointed.

Topic: HR5882 will not be passed now...........

my friend,

i already did called them and supported the bill
what i am saying is the reality.
I also wish this bill get passed but its difficult my friend
Look at the scenario
1) Job Market in danger
2) Election is near
3) Immigration is very hot nowadays. nobody wants to touch that topic whether its legal or illegal.
4) Global Economy unstable
