Topic: Advice please: H1-B Ext or EAD?
I had gone through the similar situation and question few months back, working for an consulting company, completed 6 years on Dec 31st, 09. Applied for H1 extension in mid november, H1 extension got approved on Jan 3rd. My lawyer advised to get a recommendation letter from client I am working for to attach to H1 application.
I would advise to extend H1 and keep the EAD/AP as fall back option.

When u got the recommondation letter from client, did the client mentioned any thing about the duration of the project?

My H1-B 6 yrs limit will be expiring in SEPT 2010.
I-485 applied in 2007 and got EAD also.
Under the current circumstances:
Do you want me to extend the H1-B another 3 yrs?
OR
Do you want me to use the EAD as H1-Ext might result in query these days?

Hi All,
Iam seeing EAD Renewal approvals from TSC who filed after me. I filed my EAD renewal thru lawyer at TSC in June 2nd week and my USCIS receipt date is June 24th 2009. Till now, I didn't get approval for my EAD Renewal. But, I see some people who got EAD approval from TSC who filed in July 2009.
What's exactly happening here? Please throw some light on this.

Hi May,
I checked with my attorney today, and he is saying that he hasn't received any document from USCIS in March 2009. Till now, all the renewals including EAD and AP, I filed thru attorney only. I haven't filed anything by myself.
How should I know which document the USCIS sent to me?
Iam totally tensed now.
What should I do now?

Topic: Strange EMAIL: Document mailed to applicant.
Friends,
I did an address change thru AR-11 online yesterday(06/21/2009) and today(06/22/2009) I received the following email:
On March 23, 2009 we mailed the document to the address we have on file. You should receive the new document within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service.
Actually, I should have received this email in March 2009 when I did another address change thru AR-11 online.
Since USCIS Texas systems got screwed up, I haven't received this email in March. Luckily, the address change which I did yesterday has triggered this email.
NOW, THE ISSUE IS, I have not received any document from USCIS in March 2009.
Today, I tried to reach USCIS to talk about that.
But, Iam not able to reach Customer Service by choosing option # 2 as it is not accepting my 10 digit receipt#.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK, WHICH DOCUMENT THE USCIS SENT ME IN MARCH 2009? IS IT ANOTHER BIOMETRICS NOTICE?
Please help me.

I called USCIS customer service # today and chose the option #2.
When I entered my receipt # it is saying that I didn't enter 10 digits of my receipt #.
I tried for 10 times, still I get the same response. Has anyone facing the similar problem?

Topic: Need Help - Thinking about joining FULL TIME on EAD
Hi,
Iam EB2, PD March 2006.
I have been thinking about joining FULL TIME using EAD.
I heard that to join FULL TIME, my job responsibilities must be same as whatever mentioned in LC.
Currently, I do not have my LC with me. But, I have a LCA copy when I filed my H1B Ext in 2007.
Is this OK to refer this LCA to know about my JOB responsibilities?
And based on that, shall I go ahead and search my FULL TIME job?

I know that if I need to move onto my EAD from H1B, I need to find similar job designation and job responsibilities.
But where can I find my job title and job responsibilities?
Will I find them on my I-140 or will I find them on my PERM application?
