Topic: Has the Currency Date for Green Cards for EB-2 for India moved from the 1st June 2003 retrogression?

Are they chargeable to India ? Note that for countries other than India, China and a couple of others, EB2 is current. So, the approvals you are seeing can be from other countries. That said, there are a handful of out-of-order approvals for India/China. That's just USCIS quirks. Also, if you have been following, for the last few months, priority dates had advanced a lot - almost till July 2006 for India and then went back in Oct. Folks luckily enough to have had their applications opened at that time got approved.

In short, there's always some rare out-of-order cases because of the timing or because of wrong processing, but for a vast majority of the cases, it will be wait-and-watch till your PD becomes current.

Topic: USPS Express Mail to P.O. Box

Express mail already gives you tracking numbers and you can track the status on the web. I don't think you need additional signature confirmation. JMHO.

Topic: RFE Response - Mail or Drive?

I don't know why people waste money on FedEx. USPS Express Mail (Next Day Delivery Guaranteed) works just as well, delivers to PO Boxes AND costs less than half of FedEx. Even a flat rate envelope just costs $16.50 Use USPS - not priority, but express mail. You should be OK.

Topic: Status changed to welcome notice mailed. No email. Now what?

Don't waste your time analyzing the emails. If you get at least one of the emails, celebrate!! I received a CPO email in the morning, then a notice welcoming PR in the evening, and then again a CPO email a few days later and finally "Approval Notice Sent". So even NSC does send multiple emails. It probably just depends on what order they do their batch processing in. One email implies your case just turned green so celebrate and don't spend time on emails!!

Topic: Is infopass helpful for I-485 pending?

Would be worth going since you said no LUD even after FP. Maybe your biometrics are not uploaded to your case (similar to many others who posted) and maybe they can take care of that. Usually, InfoPass reveals nothing, but no harm in checking your NC status (I found mine from an InfoPass). And don't worry about LUDs. Other than FP, I didn't have any either till my final approval.

Topic: Renew H1 or apply for EAD?

Who's paying ? You or your employer ? Why not just do both - if your company agrees OR you can afford it ? That's what I did to get both the benefits. My 485 got approved before any of the renewals, but that's always the safest way to go.

Topic: How many days it takes for approval/denial at NSC after RFE submit?

Wait a while --- I'm sure it's any day now. Looking at your PD, I know it's difficult for you to be patient anymore, but I'm sure your approval is just around the corner!

Topic: India EB2 485 approvals with PD of 2004 or before.....

Isn't this what the tracker is for ? You can filter by India cases and sort by priority date which should give you that information. It's better represented in a table there rather than in multiple posts!

Topic: Does anyone know what's the exact way?

I don't know the "exact" way - but a friend of mine came back a couple of weeks ago in that state. For him, the AP and 485 receipt was enough. The POE officer could see that the approval date coincided with the time he was away from the US and didn't have any issues at all.
