Topic: DACA end delayed

DACA END DELAYED

Daca end delayed by up to six months so that Congress can pass a new law. I'm sure it will be delayed even more till we have a replacement law to avoid the expected political backlash of an abrupt cancellation

Topic: Increased spillover to EB2 due to reduced EB1C

Does anyone know if we might see more spillover to EB2 India because of reduction in EB1C filings from WITCH because of all the negative news ? Does anyone have first hand information that they might be willing to share with the backlogged EB2 community ?

Topic: Will H4 EAD revoked if next president repeal Obama's EA?

Please watch this video by an attorney

https://twitter.com/immigrationcom/status/840211...

Here's the summary

1. SAVE Jobs USA's (the entity that filed the lawsuit) case is weak.
2. Even if they win, it would go back to the lower court and it will take a long time (1yr +) for the rules to be reversed assuming there are no appeals by the govt.

So guys - just chill and don't waste so much time on trackitt.

Even if they make another rule it has to go through comment period, initial draft, final action etc. its going to be a long drawn affair.

great analysis by Rajiv Khanna in the video.

Here's the summary

1. SAVE Jobs USAs case is weak.
2. Even if they win, it would go back to the lower court and it will take a long time (1yr +) for the rules to be reversed assuming there are no appeals by the govt against any rulings.

There's worse things than can happen in 1 year. So guys - just chill and don't waste so much time on trackitt.

By spreading wrong information that administration is not defending it they are just proving that they are no different from 1000s of other organizations whose main reason for existence is to engage in unnecessary politics, collect donations and fill their own pockets.

Also by spreading false rumors they are starting the relationship with the new administration on a very wrong note.

Topic: Time for Yoga and meditation

We have been talking about new laws for the last 10 years. I cannot remember even one immigration related law that has been passed in that time.

I agree that genuine people need not worry. But a message about yoga/meditation spreads fear and panic for no reason and affects everyone. There has been zero action on h1b (other than premium processing suspension) so far. I would request everyone to not spread more panic and scare people.

Topic: Time for Yoga and meditation

Please stop spreading panic and fear by starting such threads in this forum. There has been no action so far, everything is just fluff and fake news. People are entering and leaving the country on h1b, h4, ap etc. without any restrictions. USCIS is still transferring h1bs and issuing h4eads. The only h1b related change so far has been a short term suspension of premium processing, this has happened many times before.

Please do everyone a favor by not starting such threads. If you want to do yoga go to a gym, for meditation download an app on your phone. By starting such threads you are just fanning the fear mongering more, this is not helping you either.

Topic: Given the current situation what are the options if one gets f

You are absolutely right. Everything is speculation. Nothing concrete has happened yet. Do you believe this inefficient administration which took 2+ years to pass a watered down i-140 rule, more that 3 years to pass h4 ead and has not passed a single immigration bill in the last 8 years will suddenly cancel h1b in a month ? its all hearsay. The same lawyers who lobbied against i-140 rule for loss of revenue etc. will lobby against any rule or law that would reduce their earnings.

Credit card loans are unsecured loans. In the worst case his credit score will go to 300. There is nothing more that can happen. I remember during the 2000's dotcom bust, h1b guys were parking their $50k cars bought on loans at the airport and catching a one-way flight to India.

Even though you say please consult a lawyer, you start your statement by saying you need to wait two months for approval. NO HE DOES NOT. This is only creating panic and false information. You may have started by saying please consult lawyer, but you chose the opposite. You can 100% work with transfer receipt. In fact you don't need transfer receipt, you can work with Fedex/UPS tracking number which says package has been sent.

Topic: H4EAD is at risk

I would stop believing any such fake news at this point. The article is published in CNN Money - that's where all the fake news not worthy of CNN goes. Check out the other articles on the page - either they are ads or they are fake.

The author is a guy called Rishi Iyengar who only writes india specific news. The only source quoted there is Aman Kapoor of IV. There is not a single quote from a lawyer or a government agency. The moment I saw shaadi.com reporting less demand for US husbands - I stopped reading the article.

In summary its fake news and propaganda - nothing more.

And there is no consensus among lawyers - all fake news.

Topic: "Legal immigration is a completely separate subject" -WH

Another way to look at it is that the administration is finally demarcating legal immigration from illegal immigration and calling it a separate issue, which is a good sign. During Obama's term Democrats clubbed legals and illegals in one bucket. As a result legals' issues were completely overshadowed by the illegals.

Topic: Stop Panicking !!

yes.. go ahead. I have a relative who is a direct employee of cisco. He came back to US on the day the order was announced without any issues.

If we all use our brains I would say this is the best time to go to India, flights will be empty, tickets will be cheap as everyone else would be paniced out.
