Topic: I129F vs I130f

Since my last post my girlfriends I 130 was approved and sent to the NVC. The priority date on that is several years out from what they are processing. Should I reference this when I file the I 129f? Will it speed up the approval process or not make any difference in the processing time?

What is the timeline for processing once a case is sent to the NVC? Are we talking weeks, months or years before a visa would be issued? This is assuming all is well and no unusual circumstances are foreseen.
I am asking because I was about to submit an I129f for my fiancee but she was just notified that her case was sent from the National Benefits Center to the NVC. In March it was transferred from the California Center to the National Benefits center.
I guess my real question is will she be able to get here sooner with the current I130 processing or if I file the I129f?

Thank you for the info. I thought that was how it would be but thought I would get a second opinion.

Topic: I129F vs I130f

My girlfriend currently has an I130f filed by her sister in 2005. It was transferred from in March from the California service center to the National Benefits Center. We are in the process of putting things together for me to file an I129f for a fiance visa. Is there going to be any problems filing the I129f while the I130f is in processing?

Topic: Petition transferred to new office

Thanks for the reply. I just reread the email and it says it was transferred for additional processing.

Topic: Petition transferred to new office

My girlfriend has an I130 petition filed in November 2005 by her sister. It was filed at the California service center. On March 19th they received an email that the case was transfered to the National Benefits Center. Can anyone tell me what this means?
