This forum is only for EC discussion for HSMP discussion there is another forum or there are communities in orkut you can join them.Else mail me at hsmp@aol.in

Hi friends this the information i have got yerterday from vfs bangalore

Applying only for Primary applicant - should show minimum liquid funds of £2800

Primary applicant + 1 dependant = £2800 + £1602 = £4402

Primary applicant + 2 dependants = £2800 + £1602 + £801 = £5203

Primary applicant + 3 dependants = £2800 + £1602 + £801 + £801= £6004

Primary applicant should have minimum 2800 pounds in his/her bank account.

The extra amount can be in the account of the dependants.

The amount has to be present in the account/accounts for 3 months previous to EC application.

Savings account and fixed deposits are acceptable.

Mutual funds, shares etc may not be considered as liquid funds. That depends on the discretion of British High commission.

Sponsorship letter is not useful.

You cannot produce a sponsorship letter and get exempted from the maintenance criteria.

So the maintenance of the amount in the account is a must.

Different VFS centres give different opinion on these.

So there are chances that you hear a different thing from some other VFS.

Today I have visited VFS office Bangalore. They told me you have to maintain 2800GBP in your account for three months that is only way.You can not show mutual fund ,share etc that you can provide for extra support apart from maintenance criteria. Now VAF2 form is out of process you need to fill VAF 9A and VAF 9B form. They have given me PBS form to fill with that. After all they will provide visa for 2 year only. They told that every day rules are getting change so you need to enquire time to time to get updated information. They have given new site address http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/.

One more point to add...
You cannot produce a sponsorship letter and get exempted from the maintenance criteria.
So this 2800 pounds in the account is a must.

Topic: Anyone with HSMP Approval Letter applying for Tier1 after 1st April

I have got my HSMP approval at 1st April.I have asked to Bangalore VFS office. They have replied me....

the applicants who are already holding an
HSMP approval letter is required to fill VAF-2 and VAF-9A.

In VAF-9A, the applicant required to satisfy English and the maintenance
attributes of the PBS criteria

The applicant is required to provide 6 months bank statements in which
the last 3 months should reflect 2800 GBP.

As long as the funds are held in a personal bank account covering the
3 month period and a letter from the bank accompanies the evidence of
these funds
