Ray,

The covering letter that accompanied our medical forms says "please allow 2-3 months for medical processing", so this period is gone. I am going to write a polite email on Monday, Nov 3 - hope they won't be pissed off. I had another worry: is there any problem with our medicals? Well, if that was the case, they would have written by now.

Oh its a long wait since the process started in 2004. I missed my interview once and had to wait for a year and half to get another interview date. During this whole process, the interview day was the best and happier day for me as the visa officer was so encouraging when I mentioned to her that I can communicate in French language as well now and she responded that I don't need French as I am already qualified. After passing the interview and medicals, I thought, its finally over but no, this story will go on and on and on....

Did you complete your medicals? or you might be asked to attend an interview?

Ray and smrabbani,

Thanks for the response. I actually did not know until recently that background checks are done after the medicals. Since I did medicals in the last week of July and presumed that everything would be over by September and my kids would be able to start school in September in Canada, therefore, they did not go to school in the current country of residence. I am afraid they will be missing whole year in this transition period.

Yes I lived and worked in quite a few countries including Pakistan, the Gulf and North Africa. I believe this is the reason its taking this much of time.

Anyway, I guess, I should wait for another month before writing to CHC London.

Hello May and smrabani,

I need your advice. Three months passed since I completed my medicals. I wrote to my lawyer to write to CHC London to inquire about my case. He responded that it takes usually 3 to 6 months for passport request after medicals. According to what I found on trackitt by filtering on medicals done and passport request letters, I found that 99% people get their passport request letters within 1 to 2 months after they do medicals. Except with the case of you both and me and few others. The covering letter that I received with medical forms stated to allow them 2 to 3 months for medical processing.

To make it short I wanted to inquire by myself and need to find out the link. Could you please let me know the link for CHC London to inquire online?

Thanks and any advise would be appreciated.

Hi May,
I think they are doing background checks same like in your case. I don't think any document is missing. My story is going on since 2004.

Mabrook May,

Your bitter waiting period finally over. Please post when you get your visa.
My medical reached London 28 July. Still no news. I am going to ask my lawyer to write to CHC next Monday to find out whats happening because their indicated three months period will over next week.
Wish you good luck in your new country.

Topic: Wrong information for Schedule-1 form

Police clearance from UAE is very easy and takes less than an hour to do so. I have got mine and my wife's without a problem. In fact they know why we ask for police certificate because there are lot of folks in UAE migrate to Canada due to job insecurity in that country.

If you have applied through a lawyer, then consult with him first before sending. Otherwise, print the attachment letter and the email that you received from CHC London and prepare a covering letter and give reference to their email and send the passport.

Wish you good luck.

Hello Rabani,

I am also waiting for PPR and my medical reached London on July 28. Did their email attachment mention to send your passports?
Thanks.

Topic: Need Information for Omni Mont Royal Hotel

Hello,

First check if this offer is true. I get spam emails from this Omni Hotel every day and I delete it without even reading it.
It might be fraud. Think, why they are asking you to pay immigration and traveling expenses.

Traveling expenses like airline ticket you should buy your own (although they should pay for it) instead of paying them. Same with the immigration fee which is paid to immigration authorities (unless they have their own lawyers).

My suggestion is to call this hotel in Canada and find out if its true.
