Topic: Nebraska Processing dates as of 9/15/07

Hi,

Have you tried calling the USCIS. That helps and let them know they are processing cases with a later date. Not info pass and speak with IO. After listening to the recorded update. then press 3-4.

Topic: GC Journey

After much anticipation and anxiety we are bless to have this journey behind us now. Both my husband and myself have our approvals. He got his card in June, 2007 and I should have mine in a few days. God has been good and as hard has as it has been we are still fortune to have our cards in less than a year.

It is very hard not to worry or be anxious. I have been there and done that. I would check this site everyday and Immigration status everyday. It was fustrating and disheartening. We prayed alot and that help in keeping the anxiety level down.

Believe it or not calling USCIS can help your case. I called and asked the OI if calling would affect my case in a negative way and he said No. He paused and then said infact calling and making inquiries on case occasionally helps.

I had a RFE on my case in within three weeks I called twice and I now I have my approval. Just dont aggreviate the officer, just be calm.

All the best

Hey

I think you should check with an lawyer before you make such a move. You dont want to loose out now at this point and then having to start the process all over.

Topic: Request for Help: I-485 RFE

JohnnyT

You need to send all the pages of your passport even if it is blank. USCIS is prefer to have all pages. My lawyer copied all pages. I had to copy of my expired passport that had a visa in it also and that passport was copied also. For the birth certificate, they want the official certificate issued by the government of your country. I had a RFE for birth certificate also and they want to see parentage. They sometimes check your parents also.

Topic: Approval time after RFE

Heys,

What is the regular processing time after responding to a RFE? How soon after returning the RFE do they make a decision?

Topic: Question on 485 RFE

Heys,

My husband was approved in June but I got a RFE for my birth certificate. Has anyone ever had that RFE. I am not able to get a copy my birth certificate before adoption - the records are sealed. Is there anything that cen be substituted for that birth certificate?
