Topic: TSC processiong will be slower in Dec

Unfortunately that's what happening and it might become even slower. Anyone knows of the same thing for NSC?

Topic: TSC processiong will be slower in Dec

One of my colleagues talked to two IOs at TSC (at two different times) and had been informed to expect that the processing at TSC in December will be a bit slower than the previous months due to holidays and other officers were taking leaves so the wait might be longer. Asking how much slower, but the IOs couldn't elaborate but mentioned that they were informed at the center by their supervisor. Anyone was informed the same information for NSC at all? Thanks.

Not much of an coincidence but more like as a chance of getting it approved. Not saying that your case will get approved 100% of the time, but there's a certain amount of chance it will based on the way infopass works. it's definitely NOT a coincidence. And in your case probably it's not gonna help even if you open a few few more infopass since you've had multiple infopass already. For others they could fall into the other category. 3 of my coworkers went to the same infopass center and got the same results, and i don't think that's the coincidence.

Why don't you try an infopass? a few of my EB3 ROW coworkers (at least 3 of them) whose PDs were late 2004 and Aug 07 filers, had their 485 approved within a week or two after went to an infopass with an IO.

Topic: Got green after writing to Ombudsman

Just want to share another experience. One of my coworkers wrote a letter and filled in a form to Ombudsman back in August 08. Back then Her concurrent I-140 and I-485 were both pending and no online status change since October 07. 3 weeks later she got a response letter back from DHS letting her know that they sent an inquiry to USCIS center that processed her case and would take about 30-45 days. A week later her I-140 was approved. A month after her I-140 was approved, her 485 case was approved and now she has received her green card. Her priority date was early 2005 and was Aug 07 filer EB3 ROW. In case anyone wants to try the same thing, it could help.

Topic: Discussion: What do you think how the bad economy and layoff affect the pending 485/140

W8tg - thanks for the opinion. What you said is possible since we've seen that there are now more and more cases that IOs requested RFEs related to employment to make sure that the applicants are still in fact employed.

Topic: Experience: talking to Imm. Officer at Texas Center.

nene - Not sure if it has something to do with calling from abroad. However, other Trackittsters were able to use that method i provided and reach the IOs at the center according to their receipt number - TSC or NSC. Keep trying. Other than the international call, it should work and i just tested it.

Franticsky - Please be open-minded. This is not about being selfish or hoping for one own's benefit. If you try to look and analyze the situation, you will gain some insight into it. There was nothing in my post that i was saying that "i want " or "i hope" that others will be laid off so the move would be faster. I just want to see what people think and interpret the situation. It's about discussion and open to people's thoughts.

Topic: CRIS email in Texas is working better now.

Still you shouldn't rely one 100% on the CRIS email. Just need to manually check the status online too. But eventually it comes down to how fast the IOs work on the pending cases. Good luck.

Do you think it's possible that the pending applicants got laid off and that would reduce the backlog. In turn this would make the remaining cases move along faster. Assuming that the economy is still sluggish so the people who are laid off couldn’t find a new job either. What are your thoughts on this?

Topic: CRIS email in Texas is working better now.

Talked to an IO and had been notified that they did some work on CRIS email notification and it's working better compared to the 4 weeks ago where sometime Hard LUD wouldn't send out the email and you had to go check the status online yourself. Now the email seems to go out ok. Hope the trend continues.

Topic: Experience: talking to Imm. Officer at Texas Center.

Nene & Woj: I'll check with my coworker tomorrow to see what number/mehtod did she use to reach the IO.

I agree that there're a few IOs that don't really try to help. Mos of the time their answers are basically providing the status and asking you to wait. All you need to do is to try to recognize their voice and believe me after a few times you will be and then hang up and call them again. It's unfortunate that we have to keep calling but they leave us no choice with unhelpful and inconsistent information. If their information is accurate and most of them are all working to help, it will help clear up the confusion and lead to the more efficient process at the service center.

Yeah..so don't rely on them to help you. Take precaution and only rely on yourself to make sure the processs is moving along.

Topic: Experience: talking to Imm. Officer at Texas Center.

Just wanna share the experience so trackitt-ers can benefit some. One of my coworkers has her 485 approved a few weeks ago and received Welcome Notice in the mail about a week after CRIS email. She never received Card Production Ordered email or even the CRIS status hadn't changed since Welcome Notice. After two weeks, she called and spoke to IO at TSC and was informed that there was some system glitch and her card wasn't sent to production. The IO said that she would sent an email to IT and should get it within a week. She called again the next day to make sure appropriate action had been done, and learned that the there was still a problem with the system and they had to manually push the CPO again and was asked to wait for 10 days. Called again the next day and had the same action they had to the manually request CPO for the third time and been told that it would take 45 days. The fourth time she called, the IO said that they were missing some information from the IO who approved the case that was why CPO hadn't been working even if it was manually pushed. The IO said she would take care of it and it would take 7-10 days. Being doubtful due to the inconsistent information from the previous calls, she called again the next day and another IO said that they were missing the photo and asked her to mail in two photos. She then told her about what another IO told her yesterday and that IO put her on hold and went to find out. After 5 minutes, the IO came back and said that my colleague was right. No photos needed. She would take care of that and just called back to check next week. She called again 3 days later and another IO said that she needed to do another biometrics and would send an appointment in the mail to get the biometrics done even though her biometrics is still under 12 months. IO insisted that she still needed it and didn't know when it would be sent out so my colleague needed to wait for 30-45 days.

Eventually she got her card in the mail about 4 days after her last calls and it seems like the cause was that the card production needed some info from the IO that approved her case. It wasn't system glitch, it wasn't missing photos, it wasn't biometrics. Even IOs are inconsistent and unreliable. If anyone has the same problem dealing with IO at TSC, just need to make multiple calls to make sure what exactly is the cause of the problem. It seems like they have no clues what's going on and try to come up with answers that wont' solve the problem but just try to get rid of the calls you make.

Topic: Is Texas Center slow in mailing the physical card for the last two weeks approvals?

spiderman - thanks for the info! Did you also have the case status update prior to your receiving the card in the mail that your card is being mailed or card production ordered?
