Topic: Time taken to process after applying

Hi,

In my case we have got a response after one month saying that they have received my application and started processing it, it also mentioned that we should not expect to hear anything from them for the next 18 months, then after 21 months i have received another letter saying that as they deal with the applications in a fair cronological sequence, there is further delay to your application. They again asked us to wait for another 12 months to hear anything from them, but they came out to be a little bit efficient this time and contacted me much before that time asking for updated information, pcc, ielts and stuff like that. Its now 34 months from the time i have applied and at last in the final stage, I have submitted my passports for visa and hopefully get it the coming thursday if everything goes well.

But CHC london always keep on changing the time frames due to significant increase in the number of applicants for skilled workers and business applications. Presently its i think 42 months or so.

Hope this information is helpful.

Take care

Hi,
Is there any specific time limit for getting Visa stamped at CHC from the date of Issue of Passport Request or not? If yes, how long is it?
Thanx

Topic: PLZ Advise!!!!!Is it necessary to have a machine readable passport for getting visa stamped???

Hi,

I have got an old handwritten passport with two machine readable uk visas on it. In such a case is it necessary for the applicant to have a machine readable passport for visa stampting at CHC?

Thanks

Topic: Can we email and ask CHC? Even if we have an immigration representative!!!1

Hi to all,

Please advise if we can directly email CHC to know about our case after medicals to know about ppr as its already been two months after medicals and we havent heard anything from them. We also have our immgration representative, so should we ask him to email them or can we do it on our own?...
Thanks in advance.

Topic: How long have to wait after medicals!!!!!!PLZZZ advise

Hi,

I have done my medicals in August and still waiting for PassPortRequest (Result was ok for medicals). I have seen people getting PPR who attended the medicals with me or even after that. What CHC london do after medicals? Is there any possibility that they are still doing some background checks or something like that? Or if the applicant is not basically from UK can get delay in getting this passport request.

Topic: Timeline for Medical

Hi,
The IA may take anywhere from 4 to 6 months, and if the high commission finds everything fine then u can expect a request for medicals which automatically means waiver of interview, but if they ask u for interview then it may add another 6 months of processing in the case. The criteria for interview waiver depends on lot many things, like how ur application forms were filled basically the overall presentation of your file, is there any misrepresentation about the dates u have mentioned in your work experience or education etc etc.
I have done my medicals on 21st of Aug07 and still waiting for passport request for visa stamping, so i cant tell u about the time they take even after medicals, but as a general rule they say it can take 4-6 months and i have also seen cases who have got their passport request withing a month or so after medicals, from CHC london.
Hope this information will help you to wait.... and hope u get your medicals and visa soon.
take care..........
