Thank you very much. I appreciate your kind words. I have been through six years of backlogs, retrogressions and delays so this is quite a relief

Wish you all the best

Topic: Wierd email sequence from CRIS

I got my card yesterday. I am so ready to be able to finally live my life without shakles.

I guess the wierd email sequence did not amount to nothing because both my wife and my case were approved on the same date. It seems they just got put in the mail on different days. I should have learned by now that there is nothing predictable or logical with the USCIS right now

In either case, thanks for sharing. I am most appreciative of the discussions among the members of this board and the statitsitcs available on this board.

More importantly I wish all of you the best and hope that you get your freedom sooner than later.

cheers

Excellent explanation. One more question. Once you are in line you cant be taken out, correct? So for all those 300,000 July filers, they get the benefit of being in the i485 line (EAD and AP for themselves and family) a cannot be taken out the line, correct??

thank

Topic: October visa bulletin is out

I hear what you are saying, but by saying that their category is CURRENT in July, they now are eligible for a 485 processing. That means that there are more than 140,000 i485 petitions pending for people who are eligible. So how can any category be CURRENT.

It is my understanding that once they are in, they are in and the limits no longet apply. I must be missing something.

Can some one please clarify something for me regarding this visa bullletin.

I heard that somewhere between 300,000 and 400,000 petitions were filed in the fiasco in July. That does not include the people who had already filed

If this is the case, how can any category be current?? It would seem to me that they already have more than the 140,000 maximum allowed per year.

INterestingly enough my wife (the secondary) got her card today, and I (the primary) have not yet received mine.

I hope this is not one of those 'rarity' situation you described.

Will keep you posted

Topic: What after welcome notice ?

I I were you. I would not change anytyhing. With the gross inefficiency, it would not be surprising if they screw that up.

just my opinion.

Topic: LUDs on I-485!!!

Alien,

I noticed you have a card production date of 9/5 which is exactly the same as mine. Did you really receive your card yesterday 9/10??

Production and mailed in 5 days. That's amazing.

Topic: Foreign travel prior to I-485 approval....

Well it looks like you are good. To make sure you comply with the 3 requirments, I would make sure to get a letter from teh current employer and make sure to get the ORIGINAL I-485 receipt.

Good luck.
