Topic: Sympathize with Immigration Officers

RogerFederer,

From an IO's pespective, you may be right. But that is not the issue here.

THe whole greencard process, i dont think adjudicating officers spend more than 1-2 hours per applicant. But still most of us wait for years for processing (i'm not counting the time when we are not current). So obviously the process is screwed up???

Topic: Spoke to IO - Does opening an SR help?

Thanks greenwhen. Have you called back after opening the SR? Is it true that once you open an SR, you cannot even call them for 60 days?

Topic: Spoke to IO - Does opening an SR help?

Greenwhen:

I called that number initially and they said they are not giving out any case information and asked to redial and use options 1-2-2-6-2-4. This connected me to National Customer Service (not TSC) and a rep took my basic information. This rep then transferred to me to the next level. I'm not sure if the IO i finally spoke to was at TSC or National customer service - but was very helpful.

Also FYI... When asked about case number, i offered Alien number and she used that to pull my info. But i think as someone else had mentioned, using A# might give them access to more information in their databases.

Topic: Spoke to IO - Does opening an SR help?

Spoke to National Customer Service and they transferred me to an IO. IO confirmed that my name check was pending more than 180 days and that she can open an SR if i call back (Apparently my RD is only 18 days outside the TSC processing time and i need to wait till 30 days out).

Does opening an SR help? Or is this just a way for them to prevent us from calling them back again?

Topic: Suggestion for trackitt

The most differentiating feature of trackitt is its ability to systematically capture case information. This is very powerful. I would love to see some queryable features. This will enable a user to do some analysis specific to their cases. Is there a way you can provide users the ability to run sql on case information tables through the front end.
