Topic: How many visas allocated for India EB3 for October09? Any idea

Hi,
There was some analysis that gives estimates on pending EB2 and EB3 numbers. I did it in August:

Here are the links for the excels sheets:
EB2:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AvK4GEQ...

EB3:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AvK4GEQ...

The numbers were crunched before Sept 2009 bulletin came into effect.

Please look at the "Actual distrib. Of principal + dependent pending cases by year" column in each excel sheet to seeing the pending cases by PD year.

According to the excel sheets, for the EB2 category to clear PD year 2004, we need 9833 (according to IV data) to 10039 (according to Trackitt data). I believe there is a spill over to EB category this year so they would have allotted around 10K visas numbers by now, hence we see the PD advancing to Jan 2005 for OCT bulletin

For EB3 category, there is no spill over. In order to clear PD year 2001, we need 1593 (according to IV data) to 3175 (according to Trackitt data) visas. So we are seeing PD as April 15, 2001 in the OCT bulletin?

Topic: EB3 India Cut-Off Date Prediction for Oct 1, 2009: 11/01/2001

Thank you all for the positive feedback!

GcRequired,

Sorry I did not get your question. Did you mean prediction for October bulletin? With this analysis, I am just trying to extrapolate the yearly distribution of the "Approved", "Pending" and "Total" I-485 India applications based on trackitt and IV trackers. Prediction of PD movement is extremely difficult.

If this analysis is correct (which I am not even sure), and if we assume that USCIS gives VISAS based on FIFO PDs, then to clear pending applications until Jan 08, 2005 (which is the PD for sept 2009) USCIS will have have to give away between 7667 (based on IV tracker) to 9745 (based on Trackitt tracker) visas to India EB2 in the month of Sept 2009. But you never know how USCIS works. We all know last year USCIS did not clear on FIFO order of PD.

Topic: EB3 India Cut-Off Date Prediction for Oct 1, 2009: 11/01/2001

I did some analysis for EB2 and EB3 India using trackitt as well as IV data. It provides a rough estimate of the approved and pending 485 applicants for India.

Reading through the excel sheets, you can easily understand what approach I have used to come up with these numbers. Of course, I have made a lots of assumptions and the analysis may not be correct. I did it anyway :)

Topic: ICICI Lombard input

Please do not use this insurance. My mother was very sick on a July 4th weekend. We took her to emergency. I called up ICICI lombard before taking her to the emergency. They confirmed that the visit is covered (minus my deductible). I got a bill for $5600. They would not pay it. After 3 months for follow up they agreed to pay $1360. directly to the service provider. Then they said if you parents are over 57 yrs then they don't get normal coverages hence only $1360 is covered. It's not on written the insurance documents anywhere. It's only written somewhere on their website. They haven't send the check till date to the service provider. I ended up paying the rest on installments.

Topic: What one needs to do to trigger a 2nd FP ?

Every I/O gives you a different answer. The first time they said they'll contact me if they need it. The next time another I/O scheduled it for me. I got the letter last week and is scheduled next week.

Topic: FP renewal discussion with IO

I did not receive any FP renewal notification since we last did it in Dec 2007. I thought I would give it try and call them. The IO was verifying my information when I discovered that my SSN # stored in the system had an incorrect last digit. When I called my attorney, she said all documents except one form had that typo. USCIS was also accurate enough to pick up the inaccurate information too.

The IO said she is going to correct it in the system and schedule for a new FP appointment. She also mentioned that the name check is cleared. How can they clear my name check with a wrong SSN? Any inputs?

BTW, only a month back I called USCIS for the same thing and one smart a$$ IO said that USCIS will call me when they need my FP. And today it's a complete different story! I don't know who to trust. I suggest that if you have not received your FP notices and have been waiting for more than 15 months, you should keep on calling until you find a sensible I/O who can help you. God.... please take us all out of this mess!

Topic: I-485 RFE, explain if you changed jobs or

Yes, I am in that situation. I always think about this situation and am still confused. I have always been residing outside the state of my employer. I work (with clients) in NJ and NY areas, while my employer is in MI. My employer does not have any offices in NJ and NY areas. I got my labor and I-140 cleared with no issues. 485 is still pending. I always file taxes for the states that I have resided in that year.

Topic: 2nd RFE on mother's application

Hi All,

My sister (US citizen) filed my mother's GC June last year. The 485 was pending until we received an RFE in Dec 2008. It was for medical documents not signed by the doctor. We replied to that, and the online message changed to "case resumed" last week. However, I saw a that the online notification again changed back to "Request for Additional Evidence Sent" today morning. I wonder what it could be. Would that be a call for an in-person interview or something? Anybody having more than one RFEs for the same case?

Topic: HR 5882 Support Thread - CALL YOUR U.S REPRESENTATIVE !!

The process is pretty simple. You call the number (202) 224-3121. The lady ask for the zip code and based on that she will tell you name of the congress member for your area and then xfer the call to him/her. Then you can talk to the person taking messages. He will take your name and address and pass on your message . Guys!!! please take a moment this is our last chance!!!!!!

Topic: Status on name and backgound check

In the past, I had tried several times to call USCIS to check on my name and background using the famous POJ method as follows:
Call 1-800-375-5283 options 1, 2, 2, 6, 1 (Now enter your receipt number SRCxxxxxxxxxx), 1 , 1, 3, 4.

Until now, they have been reading the same old message that appears on the website and said they don't have access to name and background check info. This time I did not ask the status on my 485, I directly requested to give me status on name and background check. To my surprise, she said that the name check is cleared and my FP is valid until Jan 2009. I also observed that this lady was different from the rest of the reps I have talked so far. They always gave badge #s and were overly polite. This lady was flat and direct and started the conversation by "What is you SRC"? Hmmm...looks like I got transferred directly to Level 2 by mistake but I am happy to know the info.
