Topic: Acting Director of USCIS has resigned.

What the effect will his resignation to our adjudication speed? Faster or slower?

Overall, US government is efficient. And I don't believe that GC processing is manipulated intentionally by politics. Maybe it's just because for years wrong persons are assigned to lead this department, which could explain such irrational chaos ...

Topic: Welcome notice sent!!

And I am free now!!! I-140 and 485 were both approved today. I cried. After 18 years in the States, I am finally free.

good for you! But wait a second. Could you confirm your profile? If your PD is 2007, it's hard to understand your approval...

Topic: Why TF is TEXAS PROCESSING EB3 2008 when July / August 2007 are pending?

WTF is wrong with TEXAS SERVICE CENTER - While so many EB3 July / August 2007 are pending at Texas & Nebraska why the hell are they processing 2008 applications. There were atleast 4 approvals of 2008 on 26th Nov.

what is the meaning of WTF?

Topic: Does 1-140 processing depend on PD BEING CURRENT

no ... I got my 2 I-140's approved when my date was not current... has nothing to do with PD. Perhaps they made a typo error and meant the I-485

i saw many brainless responses from congressman. I guess those answers are from some inexperienced staff. But is there any document that we can use to educate them? Otherwise, those stupidity would continue to hinder our congressman queries with these answers...

Topic: Called USCIS 18003755283

lenu, there is a way you can expediate your already filed I-140 if you coming close to expiriy of your H1B status. That is what my lawyer told me.

I remember that you can expedite 140 if you file labor within the expiry period of H1B. Otherwise, even your H1B is expiring, you're not qualified to expedite 140...

am sick of these indians acting as is USCIS owes them GC..

Nope, I don't think the USCIS "owes me a GC". All they owe me is a reasonably quick response to my application.

Either approve it and let me move on with my plans for the future such as buying a home, etc, or deny it and let me move back to India. I have too much time and efforts invested (in my career here and in the GC process) to just give up and go back home...

Now let me tell you what I am sick of:
- I'm sick of paying social security taxes that I won't see a penny of if I don't stay here. It is thousands of dollars down the drain for me and thousands of others like me.

- I am sick of standing in the GC queue for 4+ years and not seeing the process move through even two stages of the GC, while I have friends with exactly the same qualifications zoom through theirs in 1.5 years. I am sick of not getting any explanation of this from the INS. I am sick that in the "highly developed" US, an agency with probably billions of dollars in grants doesn't seem to understand what First-In-First-Out means. I am sick of the fact that the INS is not answerable to anyone for it's erratic behavior.

- I am sick of knowing that in spite of having worked hard for the last 9+ years, having paid tens of thousands of dollars in taxes, having spend few thousand in immigration, having contributed to the economy with my skills, I will not see a GC for a few more years. I am sick of knowing that at the same time, there will be others who will sneak in over a fence at night, live here a few years on stolen or fraudulent SSNs and then be awarded amnesty and a GC for their "hardships". I am sick that the govt knows about these problems and looks the other way just because they need the cheap labor to build more roads and homes, mow lawns and do the work that the US citizens themselves would rather not do.

And I could go on...

i have the best solution to your sickness and your indian friends..

GO BACK TO INDIA..

Topic: November Processing dates out --- time for SR ?

The data shown is as of "30th Sep" which means already 50 days have passed. So, even if your lawyer or USCIS wants to pretend about 30 days period, its well over. Go ahead and file SRs.

what are you talking about friend? are you talking about 140?
