Topic: Old employer insisting on sending a signed copy of the resignation letter.
Thanks a lot everyone!!!
Yes, its better to be safe than sorry. As everyone suggests, I will not send any signed resignation letter and will hire a new lawyer(G-28) to follow my case... soon... |

Anyone any clue?
I think I'm worrying for no reason... I am looking for someone to agree with me. :) |
Topic: Old employer insisting on sending a signed copy of the resignation letter.
Hi,
My i-140 got approved and after that I joined a new company by transferring my H1b. I had formally resigned from my old employer before joining. The resignation mail was sent by e-mail... which I thought was an accepted way... Its been more than a month I am working with my new employer.
Now my old employer wants that I post him a signed copy of the resignation letter. He insists it is for the company records. He has called me more than a couple of times in the last few days regarding this. I was about to send it today; but I thought I should ask.
Does anyone in this forum has a similar experience? Can he use this letter for revoking i-140? I was told I'm covered under AC21 as my i-140 is approved and i-485 is pending more than 180 days. I did not inform Uscics about my change in employer. Attorney Ron Gotcher suggested that it is better not to inform UCICS unless they issue an RFE.
Thanks. |
Topic: EB3 - India - July 27 thRD - concurrent filer - i 140 approved today
I applied for EAD renewal last Tuesday. Yesterday I got the hard copy of the receipt notice(I797) for my EAD.
My labor was filed in Jan 2007, but approved on April 24th 2007. I am not sure which should be my priority date. Maybe my i-140 approval notice will have the correct date. Till date all my receipts have this date as "blank".
I really don't know what worked after seeing the randomness in approvals. I am currently on H1B (3rd year).
I applied for EAD renewal. Maybe that triggered them to open my packet and approve the i-140 application.
First of all, congrats!
Do you know what then happens to your EAD renewal application? I'm holding my EAD renewal but now wondering if it had been worth spending after all.
If your PD is January 2007 as in your profile, your PD seems exceptional compared to other approvals that mostly have PDs before 2005. I guess your case has something worthy of this approval...

Topic: EB3 - India - July 27 thRD - concurrent filer - i 140 approved today
Thanks everyone...
Oh yes,, the Plus Pilot Program of Texas scared the hell out of me.
FYI, I asked my lawyer and he said that they have been receiving many i-140 approvals for samilar processing times (EB3/EB2 - India - July RD) from TEXAS in the last few weeks. Few approvals still remain and he is hopeful this month end all should be approved/reviewed.
Another one who flies over the cuckoo's nest!
Enjoy freedom! :)

I applied for EAD renewal. Maybe that triggered them to open my packet and approve the i-140 application. I had almost started believing that I had a horrible combination(EB3 - India - Non Current - Concurrent - July filer!!!) as stated by many in this forum.
Good luck to all of you. I am sure all July and August 2007 filers will be approved soon. God Bless. |
