I was told the same thing, and all the girl would say was maybe 5 or so days, no more than 10...

I keep forgetting to ask this question..

does anyone know whether it is necessary to enter the UK in a certain time period after EC has been granted and your passport is returned? Does it need to be stamped within 6 months for example?

Thanks...

ok, I just spoke to the 1300 number...even though I received no email, my application was received (phew) and it is listed as "Late stages, a decision expected soon"...the woman said it would probably be about 5 no more than 10 days from here.

So if you submitted your EC around mid Nov there might actually be light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe.

Gee that is terrible news...12 weeks for EC, surely not. Its like there is one person working on one application a day :S

Hi Pelican,

Is your application for a full Tier 1 from scratch or just for the entry clearance part? Surely its not 12 weeks for entry clearance alone. That ridiculous....

My EC sent in 14th of Nov but that is still only about 6 working weeks...

right, so the BHC is open again and should be going through EC applications...does anyone know approximately where they are up to? Mine was received on the 14/11/08, still waiting :)
