For my case I saw today that the status changed to "Card production ordered" . This is for my family as well.
It says "On October 30, 2008, we ordered production of your new card". We too did not recieve any CRIS e-mails.
I did not see anything like 'Welcome mail". What is the next expected STATUS ?

Topic: Name on BC and all certificates except passport, starts with initial ??
Hi,
My name on my birth certificate and all school certifcates are in unexpanded form. It starts with initial followed by first name.
like X. YYYYYYYY.
Only on my passport it is in expanded form like YYYYYYYY XXXXXXXXXXX ZZZZ. The initial stands for my father's name and surname.
Did anyone face any problem due to this ? How did you resolve it ? I have got an RFE on my birth certificate, but it does not exactly what the reason is. I am assuming that it is due to absence of mother's name on the original birth certificate. Do you think USCIS will mention clearly if they have an issue with the name/initial ?
I am getting affidavits prepared by my parents now. Is it right to include one statement which says YYYYYYYY XXXXXXXXXXX ZZZZ is locally known as X. YYYYYYYY ?
In my affidavit, my name on the passport is mentioned, which is also there on all application forms submitted to USCIS.
Looking for any suggestions/advice. I have to submit my RFE by Oct 25.

Topic: RFE on BC --- Format of Affidavits and whether parents can sign/attest on the same affidavit
Hi All,
This is a question regarding whether two people (father and mother) and sign the same affidavit document.
I had submitted the affidavits for BC along with all my documents of original application, in March 2007. As per my lawyer, I NOW understand both parents cannot make single affidavit. They should submit two separate affidavits. Is that true ?
What is the best format for the affidavit ?

I have a copy of "NATIVITY CERTIFICATE" issued by village from year 2000 which has mine and both parents name listed on it. It was taken for passport verification and I do not have the original.
It does not mention father's and mother's name separately, but they are entered one after the other.
Donot know whether it would be wise to submit this as an evidence ! |

Does not state the reason in as such. I am guessing that my mother's name absent on the BC is the reason.
It only talks about getting hospital/school/census/baptisum records for evidence. They are also not talking about any affidavit ! |

1) My name on the birth certificate and all school and college records contain an intial followed by first name ( which expands into my father's name as per some south indian rules). The intial is an expanded form only on the passport , due to the legal requirments.
Did anyone face any RFE due to this reason ?
2) I have got a RFE on my birth certificate because my mother's name is not mentioned on it ! I donot have any certifcate or document which contains name of both parents and my DOB.
The hospital discharge document after my birth contains my mother's name and my DOB only ! My name and father's name are not there ! Is Ration card issued in 2002 a valid document ? I have one with my parents and my name, but again the age mentioned there is wrong.
I will appreciate any help or advice. |
