my i-485 details are entered.receipt date sept 24,04.
i spoke with an officer today and he said that he will request an inquiry on my behalf with the NSC.I should hear back in 30-45 days. what does this mean?
my wife spoke with another officer who told her that her case is pending an assignment to an immigration officer?
any of you who know the system better than I do/are in the same boat - please advise.

my details- eb2 category from india, pd feb 2002, 485 filed in sept 2004 at nebraska sc.finger prints are current and approved.
name check was pending due to fbi but hopefully should be cleared now. |

hi,
just found out that my priority date is current - eb 2 category from india.
however, I was a victim of the fbi namecheck process which I have been told should not be a problem anymore with the recent uscis ruling.
so now, what are my chances of getting my GC in the near future?
any ideas welcome. |

hello all,
I am a first time user of this forum. I am an indian national, filed for green card - EB2 category from the nebraska service center. MY I-485 was filed in sept 2004 with a priority date of feb 2002.
needless to say it got delayed in the FBI name check process. Now I hear they are looking at cases like mine to speed up the process. this months visa bulleting has no visas available for my category. I have approached senators, congressmen etc to no avail. finger print etc are all approved. I work for the us federal govt.
I am sure there are others similarly affected. is there anything I can do about this or just wait until the visa numbers for my priority date get current?
please help. |
