Hi cityman at the advice of an attorney and A briggs i did (that is send all documentation not just the letter) - and thats not the reason im getting delayed because i know multiple people who have. People have been going 40 calender days in chicago with no response. So whatever you do, prepare yourself for a wait. People on this forum have not and still gotten it. I had to trust the people im paying to give me advice. The choice is yours. |

hey ricknaround...youre telling me! I have gone beyond the point of anger where i just dont care anymore. All i want is my passport back with or without the stamp. Thanks for your stellar advice..i will do the needful when the time is right. According to A briggs, they have my application and are working on it. (so it wasnt lost)...they told me they have several at the chicago consulate that are delayed so im not the only one? I am hearing that EC for tier 1 now takes "several weeks" according to couriers. What the hell is going on? I just dont understand it. They were closed half of last week for thanksgiving, and decemeber will be like one big holiday for them too. Ricknaround you remember the feeling of waiting for the hsmp approval letter right? days went by, weeks and months....and then you got it applied for EC in LA and you had relief....not put yourself in my shoes...after all that waiting and expecting EC to be a day turnaround like most people who had ussed briggs, paying all the fees etc etc...and then being in my shoes? Its sucks beyond imagination...additionally i heard that the more you complain it may go against you....thats why im waiting for one - 2 weeks before i sent complaint e-mails. Seriously i have an approval letter..what in gods name are they doing...if they dont want to bloody give it to me then dont..but dont waste my goddamn life (even though I meet all damn requirements and have way more than there piddly 2800 pounds - which buys you shit in london anyway because its so damn expensive). Even if i get it....its not going to be a celebration...im dreading making the move now, frankly i just dont want to go. From one winter to the next. This may be a sign that i return to my home country and soak in the sun! regardless i wish you al well in the future...lets see what the next weeks bring. Sorry for the long post! |

guys absolutely nothing.....Some people in new york having been waiting over a month and a half. I dont know what to do...there seems to be no one posing any approvals from later october submission. If I dont get it by the first week of decemebr ill be forced to pull my passport and just leave. Thanks for all your help over these months. I hope you guys can achive what i could not. |

you know you bring up a good point. I have thought about this. How can a country maitain a positive immigration policy (by positive I mean influx of new people) especially one based on work, when locals are losing jobs left right and center. I hope we have applied in time. Who knows. The Govt does what it wants, when it wants and since we are not british they dont give a damn |

hi all i talked to a lawyer and she said the 28 day rule does not exist. You need to enter withing 3 months of getting your visa stamp. |
