Topic: EC Time frame After HSMP Letter

What do you think the time frame is after submitting the second half of the visa application?
I have the HSMP letter and now need to apply under the new rules (for the what use to be the Entry Clearance part).

I want to go to England to look for a job, but know I need to come back out of the country to apply for the second half, and have no idea if I'm looking at 5 days or 4 weeks.

Topic: Proof of Previous Earnings- Tier 1- Bank Statements

How picky are they with a printed statement with a stamp and signature? My bank gave me a plane printed statement with just a simple stamp stating bank name and address, and then a guy signed it. If this is OK, then I'm fine. I'm just worried they will not be satified with it.

Topic: EC and Funds...

I know... Tons of questions already about maintenance of funds, however I can not seem to find exact details on BIA about how this is determined.

If you have 3 monthly statements where the balance at the time of printing shows a minimum of 2800gbp is this good enough? or does the balance always have to show 2800gbp after every transaction?

This makes a huge difference and I don't think BIA is clear on this. I can easily put extra money in each month, and then pay all my bills where the balance will fall under the minimum 2800.

If you know the answer could you also provide the source you found this out? Thank you!

Topic: US Citizens - is there any other way to gain entry clearance???

Totally agree.... And atleast be clear about it. I keep finding different information all over the place, and BIA doesn't even have a contact email to ask these types of questions.

I need to know the same thing. I heard that if you have a job offer you might not need the 2800, but I can not find this information out on the BIA site.

Topic: When HSMP Goes through, Just Apply EC?

So the website, of coarse, is not completely clear on exactly what you need to do.

I applied HSMP in March (from US),
If I get an approval letter (any day now),
What do I do next?

One direction states: If your application for an HSMP approval letter was from any country other than the United Kingdom and India and made on or before 29 June 2008 Your application will be processed.

Applications for entry clearance under HSMP made in any country other than India before [30 June 2008] will be decided in accordance with the immigration rules that were in force on 29 June 2008 even if the decision is reached after that date.

Then the other states:

If you have already got an HSMP approval letter, but have not applied for permission to enter or stay as a Highly Skilled Migrant, you will automatically score points for your attributes and for English language because you have an HSMP approval letter.

You must fill in all other appropriate sections of the relevant application form, including the maintenance (funds) section.

So do I apply for an Entry Clearance? or do I need to apply AGAIN for another letter, and then the EC?
