Topic: Employers who Revoke I140

My employer cancelled my H1B (about 6 months ago) but not my I-140 (so far, anyway). So, the letter may be different.

Topic: EAD efile Vs Paper filing

From my personal experience, I would recommend paper filing over e-filing. My case took 120 days and I ended up not working for a few days, while paper filers at that time got it in under 90 days. I don't know about the paper filing form on the USCIS website though, it has an expiry date of 8/31/08.

Unfortunately, most people report not knowing/hearing anything. It is a hope for the best scenario

It shows as "Approval Notice sent" which I guess is the same as card sent. Since both of us have the same receipt date, I'm wondering whether my case was picked out of turn on account of senatorial intervention.

However, some of the cases in the April 21st to May 5th timeline that I was tracking have been approved in the last week. So hang in there, you should get it soon. Keep us posted.

canadaeb1c,

I received my card yesterday (mistake free!). Any updates on your end?

Topic: Create an SR for interim EAD

That is what I heard from my lawyer too. Local offices do not issue interim EADs anymore, but the Service Center might. She added that most times, when they receive the interim EAD request, they issue the permanent EAD instead. I don't think you lose anything by creating the SR.

Online status changed today to "Approval notice sent"

canadaeb1c,

My status is still unchanged, last LUD is on fingerprinting date. I found out about the approval from the senator's office, there was no proof that my case had been approved otherwise. I called the 800 # and picked problem with a case option and then if it has been more than 30 days since a notice was mailed option and bingo! I was connected to NSC. They were able to look it up and confirm. The general customer service has no info other than the online status. You could try what I did to get more info.

Good luck!
