Did u guys atleast receive I-485 approval notice? I am trying to figure out if the TSC's online status update is screwed up.

crusader, I think TSCs online status is not working.
My daughter and wife received their EAD renewals and status continues showing "received and pending". One card was received on Feb 13 and the other yesterday.

I got that information talking to an IO by phone and also in person (infopass appt).
The officer told me that the evidence sent was "enough" and "everything seems to be good" with my case. He gave me a piece of paper in which he wrote "case is with an officer waiting for visa availability".

No, I don't think it was pre-adjudicated. That's my point.
"Assigned to an officer" doesn't seem to be pre-adjudicated.
If it were pre-adjudicated I would have my GC :)

My PD was current for 2 months after I replied NOID, my case was assigned to an IO and it was "recommended for approval"... name check cleared etc etc. I didn't get approval and PD got retrogressed again.

You're right about TSC online info. I received EAD renewed last week and it's still showing "received and pending" online.

A petitioner can have financial ability to pay the proffered wage through three ways:
First, if the net income is equal to or greater than the proffered wage, there is financial ability.
Second, if the net current assets are equal to or greater than the proffered wage, financial ability exists.
Finally, a finding of financial ability can also be made by evidence of the employment of the beneficiary by the petitioner at the proffered wage level.

If any one of these options are not met, the case can be denied.

I would file a motion to reopen/reconsider, if I feel I have enough evidence and arguments to revert the unfavorable decision.

You can use I-290 to file a motion to reopen/reconsider or an appeal. It's the same form.

I-485 denial should be related to your eligibility and not related with your company.

EAD is not a temporary GC but you can use EAD to get a job in any occupation, even not related to your certification/qualification.
It's just an interim benefit while you are waiting for your GC approval.

It depends on the person who takes the call.
I was able to get some info on my case in the same situation (name check was cleared, case was recommended for approval, etc).
You can try, if no results, try again. There's nothing to lose.
